Get your stitt together!

One factor which will determine how good our defense is, and one which has not be discussed much, is how many 4th down conversions the Griz will be able to convert. If they are not about 75% successful or better, our "D" will be defending a short field way too often. This could be HUGE!

It won't matter. NDSU is just as good on the road. And their defense may not be quite as good as last year, but it will still be better than any other team we play this season. Their D-line will own our weak O-line, and make Gus's life miserable. If I am wrong, I will come on here and admit that I blew the prediction. But I don't think that will be necessary. I deal in reality, not pipe dreams.

Last I checked, 3 & outs relate to less than 2 mins TOP generally, sometimes less when Jordy was forced to throw the ball away or incomplete cuz of no time. The difference with Stitt's O is that if he runs double or more plays in the same TOP, the defense is going to get hit twice as many times or more, and they can't sub out. That is what will take a HUGE toll on defenses come the 4th quarter.

In Gus we trust...or at least I do. :thumb:Umista said:Execute? Where do we start? Some of the slugs that seem to love trolling on this site would be my first choice.
If our Offense gets oiled up and does execute very well we could just be damn good. I have a lot of faith in Gus and he is the key. If he can run this offense well and executes it to a high degree we will have a smoking good offense. Forget all the talk about us getting gassed, forget about our O Line, forget about our running backs and all that other crap......If you want to worry and ring your hands concern yourself with our QB.
So yeah, Alpha has a good point.
