Humphrey Likey To Start vs. EWU

Why does anyone think Cam will be good? Yeah he's looked good in camp but as far as actual game time... Not so much. There's a huge drop off from Sneed to Cam. If you think otherwise gimme those maroon glasses and the crack you been smoking.

No, the question is "why not?" It's part of the game. I'm not gonna say you've obviously never blah, blah, blah. But it's the way it is. You try not to be defeatist about it and move on. If that means glasses and koolaid, then do it.

If Humphrey starts this game the griz are screwed. We better hope that Sneed is 100 percent or this season will end like it did last year.

This is pretty simple. You play the hand that you hold. All the wining, griping and tiny foot stamping in the world won't change that fact.

Per Shawn Rainey’s tweet regarding discussion with Hauk this am.

Well if that's true we won't beat Eastern. Anybody else missing Jensen.
Not hardly. He had his shot at EWU and blew it with one of the worst 2nd half performances in recent years. I'll take my chances with Cam; the team will rally around him; he has stuck it out for his chance.

This kind of thing happens, it happened last year to eastern Washington when gubrud went down and a redshirt sophomore barriere came in and led them to the fcs title game. The same with ndsu in Carson Wentz junior year and easton stick redshirt freshmen stepped in and went undeafted until Wentz came back. It happened in 2014 to south Dakota state Austin Sumner, a 3 year starter got hurt early in the year, and came back to play in the playoffs. Just get the backup prepared and trust that he and the team will respond to the coaching.

It happens at every level...starter gets hurt and a new starter steps up and becomes a star. Got a whole week to tweak a game plan around Cam. This is where coaching makes a difference. Go griz

There once was a backup named Super Dave.

Sorry to say but the offensive line has a lot to do with all of this. They took a huge step backwards last week(IMO). They either take it personally and open up running lanes and keep Cam vertical or it may be a long day. I think Humphrey knows the offense, has good chemistry with the receivers, and has the talent to do a good job if the line can protect him. I agree with whomever said establishing the run game would be huge in this game. Big game Saturday....

Yes they did (screw the pooch).....but I can not see them doing that two games in a row.

I sure hope you're right. Maybe a weeks worth of preparation will help him. However, from what I saw he needs a lot of work and is a severe drop off from what Sneed brings. We have made a living hitting the seam routes and relying on our receivers to out athlete people. I hope cam can keep us doing that because we just don't run the ball well.
