Hula Bowl - O’Connell and Ford

Yeah yeah, I made a mistake. It was Lewis who dissed Hauck.

Made a mistake? Hardly, this is a pattern with you...you're just desperate to find (or pretend to find) players willing to join you in taking a dump on the Haucks and the Griz program. So desperate that you make these "mistakes" and try to put words in these players' mouths that they never said and likely never would say. It's funny...Hauck has coached here for a lot of years. If the players had issues with him to the degree you suggest, there would be a LOT of examples, but there just aren't. How many thousands of kids have gone through the program under Hauck? Now, anyone who has ever been involved in competitive sports knows that the vast majority of players are never as successful as they might have wished or dreamed, so there might be a couple thousand kids out there with potential beefs about their "careers" as Grizzlies under Hauck...but where are they? If he and his staff are the clueless bastards you claim they are, there should be people lined up around the block willing to dish dirt on Hauck and the staff...but there just aren't. You're living in a bleak fantasy land.

You have to admit, it's pretty rare for a player to talk negatively about a coach publicly and it's occurred multiple times here in the last two-years. While most players didn't say anything about Hauck's attempt to steal the 37 legacy for Robbie, many liked Lewis' post, including current players.

Has it? Multiple? Who? Where? Lewis was the rare example...anyone else? You can't say that players and former players are unhappy and then not produce examples. Liking someone's tweet or post is not the same thing as talking negatively about someone or something. For most people these days, it's a pavlovian response to anything that hits their social media feed. It doesn't mean as much as some people want it to mean. Did Bobby really try to steal the 37 legacy for his son? I know some people on this forum believe that (and like to pretend they have double-secret insider info to that effect -- seriously, if I want real insider info, I'll go hang out at the Mo Club and ask a bartender), but really...that would have been the stupidest thing in the world, though maybe just stupid enough for the more conspiratorially-minded on eGriz to believe. Roseymustgo and his ilk just wants to tear people down and see everything reduced to ashes to be rebuilt based on their "learned" visions for the program. If only it was so simple. The truth is, there's no real movement to get rid of Hauck and most people -- definitely the people who matter -- are satisfied enough to give Hauck a bit more time for "RTD." This year was a bit of a slip...I would say his tenure won't survive another slip, but for the time being, Hauck is still the man and isn't going anywhere.

How about Buschini or Britt. Go back and look at the post. Negative press all created by Hauck.

I don't think anyone should give a shit about what Buschini, a guy who was crucified on Twitter and had to delete a tweet and apologize for saying he never wanted to come to UM in the first place, has to say about UM or Bobby.

Oh...and CONGRATS! to O'Connell and Ford on the Hula Bowl!

This is what I mean about tearing people down and coming here to just dump on people and the program. The OP wanted to call out something good, and it immediately gets turned into someone's soapbox on everything they dislike in Griz world. Some people on this forum can't even feel good for people when their good work is acknowledged...which really, really sucks.

You're the dude on his soap box. You support Hauck, I get it. Good for you. But I have a right to favor a change in coaches. You don't get to tell me how to think. I don't whine about your opinion to support Hauck. But you can't deal with my opinion. So be it.

Stop being a dick. LibbyGriz is right in everything he's said. Either get out of the thread (ideally off the board), or start celebrating the guys who made the Hula Bowl. This is a great deal for them, and for UM.

Britt said he loved Montana. HIs quote doesn't say anything about Hauck or the coaches. Note that the rumors are that Britt had a disappointing spring, like he didn't show up. You have to practice hard and well to develop in the qb room.

"I just felt I wasn’t developing enough as a player in the QB room. But I loved Montana and I loved that I got the experience to go play there and meet some great people."

The punter was immature and not a team player. He deserves to play for a crappy team like Nebraska. The UM punter had a better year anyway.

Yep, Britt loved Montana, most people that visit do. His willingness to trade UM for NAU says it all. Nebraska finished in 6th place just like the Griz and beat more teams with a winning record than the Griz. Buschini will be in the NFL.

Buschini finished 25th in FBS punting. 44 average. Not close to NFL numbers. Nebraska won 4 games. Went 1-5 to end season. Finished 6th of 7 in its half of conference. So about 12th in conference. You either can’t google or are a liar.

They finished 6th in the conference just like the Griz, though the Griz were picked to win the conference, they won more games against teams with a wining record. Buschini will be in the NFL. You clearly don't know how kickers and punters end up on NFL teams.

No, the conference has 14 teams. Nebraska was 6th in one side of the conference. So, more like finishing 12th in the conference. You clearly don't know how punters who are 25th in FBS don't make the NFL. Buschini was tied for 7th in the conference in punting. That wouldn't get him an NFL sniff. He was tied for the most punts in the conference with 75. 4 players had more punts inside the 20. 3 players have more 50+ yard punts. He had a mediocre season.

Sad to see yet another positive thread about a couple of Griz greats turn into an absolute sh*t-show. Way to go d*ckheads.

Again, you're clueless about kickers and punters in the NFL. Chris Sailer influences what kickers and punters get tryouts in the NFL. Bruschini is one of his projects.

"Projects" is the right term. This year, Bruschini wouldn't get a sniff from the NFL.

"Chris Sailer is an American football trainer of kicking specialists. He works with high school placekickers and punters and evaluates them for college football programs." I see no mention of NFL.

And you apparently don't know the Big Ten has 14 teams, and not 7.

The Big 10 is divided into a west and east and each side awards a championship trophy. The winner of each meets for the overall conference championship. Nebraska finished in 6th place. Won more games against teams with a winning record. Bruschini will be in the NFL.

The Big Ten is one conference. Nebraska won 3 conference games and finished 6th in one side. So, about 12th. How stupid can you be. Let's see how many posters you can get to agree with you that Nebraska was 6th in the Big Ten this season, with 3 wins.

And there you go again...you turn everything into a tirade about your hatred of Hauck...the thread was started to acknowledge O'Connell and Ford, not to give you a platform for your incessant whining about Hauck and the rest. Really, as much as you cry about it, and based on how many threads you hijack on any given day to obsess about Bobby and Robby and the staff, maybe you should start your own forum?

Exactly...but some people can't do anything in life but complain.
