How we all feeling?

During the first few games of the season, there will be a lot of baffling mistakes on special teams. Everyone will tut and go "gosh darnit well at least we know Bobby hates that." The same mistakes will keep happening sporadically all season.

Nevertheless, the Griz will tear through their first few opponents with the vigor of an actual grizzly bear encountering unattended trash cans. After getting an unexpected homecoming scare with a close game against Idaho State, the Griz will tighten up the ship and make a statement with definitive wins at UC Davis and Idaho. Tickets to Frisco will be purchased. A petition will be created to bring GameDay to the Brawl. Rumors of a move up to FBS will circulate.

When Sac State comes to Missoula, disaster will strike. An injury to a key starter will expose the lack of depth on offense and leave the Griz hapless. The defense (who were probably the key to those ISU and UCD wins) will be gassed and everything will start to fall apart. Sac State will win. Still missing that key starter, the Griz will come out against PSU looking flat, vanilla, and predictable. PSU will win.

GameDay won't be in Missoula, but the Brawl will get a brief mention when a real estate developer from Texas with a Yellowstone Club membership makes an appearance donning a cowboy hat to say that his hometown "Montana Bobcats" are going all the way to the natty this year. The Griz will put up a hell of a fight, but get repeatedly stung by MSU's one inexplicably elite athlete who simultaneously plays QB, DT, PR, and even steps in as OC after a halftime DUI. The Cats will win and make T-shirts celebrating their epic 2 game Brawl streak.

The Griz will casually stroll into the playoffs as usual and get handed a home game against a team from the Bible Belt with a weird name like "University of the Divine Prophet". The weather forecast will be -4F with a wind chill of -26F. Griz Nation will make a big deal out of this. UDP will bring hand warmers and the season will end.

I will visit eGriz one last time to read Brint's post-game analysis. The rest of the forum will be a burning wasteland of Cats fans gloating and Griz fans clamoring to get everyone involved fired, from Bobby to the AD to the mayor. Someone will claim that we lost because of wokeness and spawn 20 pages of angry politics. At that point I will close the tab, delete the eGriz bookmark from my browser, and wonder why I subject myself to this every year.

Then I will subject myself to this again the next year.

It would appear to me that either CDA has an alter ego…or he has some competition.

Definitely not me, but very funny. I’ve found through the years that very few walruses are rated appropriately, so it makes sense.

I am going with there's a glimmer, fist bumped Bobby going into the Hellgate game at Wa Griz.
Me: GO GRIZ
bump
Him: GO GRIZ
he didn't say "fight on " maybe just maybe we're losing that shit he brought him and getting back to the roots.

I'm feeling we will have a above average season going 8-3 or 9-2. I feel we will make the playoffs. I don't think we go deep in the playoffs this year.

To me our defensive line is suspect. We don't have have the bulk up front and our subs are suspect. Running teams might wear our defense down in 4th qtr. We will see on the QB situation. Can our offense win the TOP and help our defense? WRs need to prove themselves this year as last year they never got separation on a consistent basis.

To me our first challenge is Ferris. They are no cup cake. If we do well in this game I may change my opinion on our team.

Go Griz
