How far is too far?

I understand that there is trash talking going on down on the field at all levels of football. I've been in the middle of it in my time. But how far is to far? Last night at the CMR-Senior game Mo Burroughs was attacked with racial slurs throughout the game. I've met this young man before, and he is very nice, and level headed. Last night though all the slurs ended up getting to him when he seemed to "lose it" at one point. I grew up and played HS football in S. California, where there was a much more even mix of races on the field, as a result of it being that way in the community as a whole. I can't really remember too many times where players would give other's s**t about their race. I mean, of course it happens, but not to the extent it did last night. He was berated from the start of the game till the end. This is real low class, and I am disapointed. I understand it was probably just a couple of stupid kids doing this, and I am in no way upset with the entire CMR program, but come on...I think these kids went over the line here.

Welcome to Montana. It's a big time hick state, and Great Falls is the most backward "city" in that state.

CMR can be summed up as a bunch of racist future MSU students.

I think you are showing your level of intelligence with that post. There are racists everywhere, including the Windy City. Speaking of windy, seems like you found a home. :loser:

Uhh.... I graduated from CMR. I think that makes me qualified to my opinion.

Was it the players or the fans making the comments?

Does it matter?

I know what you're saying, and I agree. I would like to know who, too. :thumb:

There should be zero tolerance for such behavior in a sanctioned school event. Young students shouldn't have to put up with personal attacks to participate in a school activity. Remove the offending party/parties from the grounds. Trash talk is going to happen , but a common-decency line must be drawn.

Until there is some proof this thread is garbage. We went through threads that we're directed at players with false pretense. Football is football at any level and smack is talked but to demean an entire program(I'm A CMR graduate) because of jaygriz's comments is fools play. Where did you get your info? Are you SURE of all this?
Come on!!
Go Griz!!

I know this is comparing apples and oranges, but the cr@p that happened at Rutgers earlier this year when the Middies came to town is also reprehensible.

Great Falls is just a horrible place to play. I remember playing up there once in high school and having awful things yelled at me and my teammates. Easily the worst place I've ever played. Absolutely classless.

My girl's brother actually plays for Senior, and he said it was terrible. And he is a pretty mild mannered kid, i don't think he would just make this kind of thing up just because they lost.
I'm not from MT, so I could care less about who wins what game, and which team looks better than the next. I just think it is pretty weak. I wasn't trying to demean a program, they are high school kids for god's sake....but i think there are a few of those kids who need to get their heads on straight.
