How far do we drop

Haven't looked at the poll or how teams did today, but I wouldn't think UM would have a big drop. CP is a good team.

Here's how the whole top 25 (FCS STATS poll) did this weekend.
No. 1 North Dakota State-Idle
No. 2 Sam Houston State Beat Houston Baptist
No. 3 Jacksonville State Beat Liberty
No. 4 Eastern Washington Beat Northern Arizona
No. 5 Chattanooga Beat Samford
No. Montana lost to Cal Poly
No. 7 Richmond Beat No. 23 Colgate
No. 8 William and Mary lost to Elon
No. 9 Illinois State lost to Indiana State
No. 10 The Citadel - Idle
No. 11 James Madison Beat Maine
No. 12 Charleston Southern beat Monmouth
No. 13 Western Illinois Beat (FBS) Northern Illinois
No. 14 Northern Iowa -Idle
No. 15 South Dakota State -Idle
No. 16 Youngstown State -Idle

No. 17 Coastal Carolina Beat Furman
No. 18 Eastern Illinois Beat Austin Peay
No. 19 Villanova Beat Lafayette
No. 20 Stony Brook lost to Sacred Heart
No. 21 North Carolina A&T -Idle
No. 22 Albany Beat Saint Francis
No. 23 Colgate lost to No.7 Richmond
No. 24 McNeese Beat Incarnate Word
No. 25 Portland State lost to Southern Utah

Gut feeling the Griz slide to No. 11

Poly will be in the 25-20 line most likely. A few extra votes could get them to 18-17. I know that fans think a win over a team means that team should automatically be ranked higher but it's not how any poll, from FBS to NAIA, that's voted on by human beings works. I would be stunned if CP got enough votes to jump the Griz. I'm not even sure CP will jump PSU.

CP will definitely jump PSU. The polls are still developing and anyone actually looking at Cal Poly can't really make a valid argument for not putting them in the top 15

The people that vote in the polls know that Cal Poly will not make the playoffs and they are not a very good team, that is why they are not ranked. Montana should drop to at least 18th where they should have been all along we are barely a top 20 team. Our history has us way to high in the polls and our play on the field shows that.

Bingo! :thumb:

That's what I put on my "poll guesses" thread. But, as discussed on another thread, the pollsters hardly ever give Cal Poly the respect they deserve. So I moved them into the top-25, but just barely. (See the poll guessed thread for further discussion.)

I'm not sure but I think we'll be in the 10-11 range. UM had 485 yards total offense and held CP 120 yards below their season rushing average. I know the conventional wisdom is that poll voters don't look at the stats, but in a game that close they just might.

Charleston So. has 2 wins. Monmouth and Kentucky St. Those sure aren't signature wins to me. Can't imagine they would jump the Griz. They played NDSU fine, but haven't accomplished anything else yet.

JMU has beaten Moorehead St, Central Conn, and Maine (which is 0-3). JMU doesn't deserve to jump the Griz.

Western Illinois does.
