Dakota Prukop had arguably the worst game of his starting career yesterday as well under conditions not nearly as onerous as Makena's yesterday. Walked out of the press conference.

Makena's strong game is long ball passes, exactly the wrong skill for monsoons. That's the breaks. He'll do just fine in Pocatello.

None of our QB's have a real 'run" game, but Makena has perhaps the most promise of being able to develop one; and he did, after all, run one in yesterday.
You are making the assumption that he will play..
Yes.

If Brady is truly ready to go...it is his ball...

That would be a mistake. With Makena, Coach Stitt has a first class QB talent.

His "adjustments" with Brady were to give up on any kind of a long-ball game, and focus on short passing plays. This was obvious with the delta between the NDSU game and subsequent games, where passing plays increased by 20-30%, and passing yardage dropped from 14 to 9. "We" still got the overthrows and "miscommunications" characteristic of Brady's play, and three interceptions in one game under the new, revised strategy. Oh, and we lost.

The short ball game does not utilize the special talents of Jamal, Ellis and Company, and offers more opportunities for interceptions. Oh, and we lost.

The UND game was not a fluke for Makena. Oh, and we won.

The PSU game was the fluke. Even at that, Makena was our leading rusher! That isn't going to happen with Brady.

Unfortunately, Bob Stitt is married to his "strategy," and if he thinks Brady is smarter and can implement the "strategy" then we will get Brady. Based on the first three games, that would be a mistake.
