How do we stop the UNI run game?

There is no possible way we can stop UNI. We should just forfeit. Sure, UNDSU beats them like a rented mule every year, but they're better than Alabama.

Tackle more consistently than last week. Keep their offense of the field by sustaining some nice drives. Just win baby!

They could be coming in over-confident after beating ISU! We definitely got a dose of reality after the first half debacle last week against SFU. They know they've never beaten Montana. Could be an advantage...could not...have to play the game. One thing for sure is: We'll either win or lose. Depends on who scores the most points. Certain about that.

I think there are 3 keys to a win this week and in containing the NIUU offense.

1) Match their physicality. Our D has to line up and play smackmouth football the entire game. You know they will! We don't have to be more physical but we have to be as physical.

2) Good offense will be our best defense! If the Griz are able to run 100 to 110 plays and keep the UNI offense off the field it will go a long way toward winning g this game.

3) Win the field position battle. If they have to go 80-90 yards every time they have the ball it will help tire them out going into the 4th quarter.

I think the Griz need all 3 to win. Possible but unlikely. What is possible is that Weser this team again in the playoffs.

But ... haven't all the games been in Montana?

All except for one, in 1987.

Correct. Both UNIU and UNDSU are better than Alabama. :P

That seems to be the general consensus, here. I think the Griz should just stay home since the fans know they are beaten bad, already and never had a chance.

Is it too late for a buyout? That way we could save face like the Bobcats...

How will Kidder be featured as either a DT or a DE mainly? How do we get our best bang for our buck from him against the run? Will Strahm be the best "Spybacker" out of all the LB's? Do we step up both safeties near the box and play man at CB as a few have said on here? Will our DE's cover the flats on passing downs(conservative) or pin their ears back (aggressive)

Never lost to Alabama either. :thumb:

I think we got enough nasties in the front seven pool to not only hold up, but step up when needed. Won't totally contain, but get stops when they have to.
