How close are we to getting Naccarato back

In the little time I have seen Jaannsseenn on the field making catches, what I like is that he has great hands and HE GOES AFTER THE BALL- doesn't wait for the ball to come to him, he goes an gets it!!!

The board folks need to learn how to spell Jannsen..it is spelled 3 different ways in this thread. It won't be long until no one misspells his name...he is a stud! LOL.

Just double up everything, Jjaannsseenn

Wouldn't you still know how to spell it correctly to double up everything?

OK, so what about Naccarato?
I think coach said might be a week or two before he's ready.

I like him as the kick returner, both on punts and KO. His 1st year back there was kind of rough, but he has matured and I believe he is the best person on the team for this job...

Yes - pretty steady, sure handed, good returner. I like Henderson but Naccarato could take some work off of Ellis and help keep him healthy.

Science is right. Alcohol distorts your judgement! "Naccarato could take some work off of Ellis and help keep him healthy." Doesnt that mean Chase needs to be healthy himself? The e-Griz dummy meter just friggin exploded.

Unless I am mistaken Naccarato is just a few doors down the street from double digits on the DNP list. So let me make sure I understand you right. You want a guy who has never had a return longer than 25yds to replace a guy who is an All American Return guy?

Great idea lets reduce the number of touches for our most explosive player. Does he even have a punt return to his credit in his career here? Good lord I am actually embarrassed for you.

I really like what I have seen of Naccarato but I think its pretty obvious that the only change on returns IMHO would be to add Van to the mix with Henderson. Thats the change that I think should be made.

May ALL the Griz talented players stay healthy for the rest of the season.

Easy sparky! I’ll try to clarify my thoughts for you without getting personal or resorting to name calling.

Of course Chase needs to be healthy before he returns – would not want to bring him back early and risk further injury. I thought that would be obvious – my bad.

Last year Chase had the second best kick return average. He’s a solid return guy. I didn’t say pull Henderson but having him help with return duty may help keep Ellis healthy. Henderson getting hammered on every kick return, then hammered again on every punt return, then hammered again on every catch – give him a break – keep him fresh by letting Chase help carry some of the load. Or as you and others suggested, let Van take some of the load off Elis.

Either way, adding solid return guys to the mix will only help the team stay healthy, IMO.

It takes 11 guys on each side of the ball on every play to win. Last I checked, this is still a team sport. If 1 or even two guys are getting the rock the majority of the time, the law of avarages show that the risk of injury is much greater. Ellis and Van are much too valuable in the offensive scheme to risk getting hurt on a kickoff where for the most part, the kick is in the endzone anyways. Or a punt return where the return avarage is only around 12 yds per return. Yes, I love the abilities of Ellis and Van to be the play makers, but I also believe that a HEALTHY Chase Naccarato is a very powerful weapon to have for returning punts and KO...

So where is this powerful weapon? I'll repeat myself..."lil guys can't stay on the field"...or in some cases get there... :egriz:

I have no idea, anyone know rimrocks question? I'd like to see him back.

Tis time for newbees to come out and display talent. It is this way every year for most teams. I love watching some of these new studs strut around and show what they can do.

He was wailing around afterwards without a boot or crutches so hopefully not too bad. Nguyen's was bad though...

Yeah.. His knee folded under him pretty good. Hopefully it didn't tear too many ligaments.

I watched him through the binos during that play and my leg hurts. That was not good. Not at all. Also, no 2., McKinley? Looked bad. Clavicle or shoulder maybe? Wrist? Something on his arm but it looked bad. Costly game...
