Well, I'm sorry if I don't know all the football below that which WVU plays. That football just doesn't register. It doesn't win Orange/Sugar/Fiesta Bowls. I'm sorry about that.
So then let me get this straight; you are writing about things you know nothing about and you're offended because you are taking a ration of crap. Do I have that right?

The article seemed pretty complimentary, not sure why everyone is getting up in arms over it

It certainly is the norm for outsiders to think that FCS = DII

'so you look at it like the entire big 12 is looking at you now...... :o

i didn't have a problem with the article at all btw. you pretty much summed up what many fans from larger schools think of fcs football. not sure why so many are upset.... :?

So, according to those two links and to Google and Wikipedia, the '95 Div II national champ was North Alabama. Oh, and what's this? Under the headline "NCAA Division I Football Championship," the '95 Div I national champ was Montana.

No mention on the page titled "NCAA Division I Football Championship" is there of the '95 Nebraska team that won the Fiesta Bowl (the same bowl game that Boise State would beat Oklahoma in 2007 at, yet wouldn't even get a sniff at the "national champion" labeling) and was VOTED the best of the bowl subdivision. You would have to go to a page titled, "College football national championships in NCAA Division I FBS" to find the '95 Nebraska team listed. And there are multiple years listed where there isn't even a true or consensus "national champion" on that page!?!

(oh, and while this is intended to be tongue-in-cheek, I just felt like being an ass after reading his post)

I can empathize with the article. Anytime you move somewhere you give up seeing your favorite football team. Like moving to Texas, I have to have NFL Sunday Ticket just to NOT see the Cowboys or Texans on Sunday. I don't understand the negative reaction to the article. He was simply lamenting the things one gives up to move to a different area of the country. I read it as complimentary to the avid football fan base here in Montana.

Even though our team is only D-II?

Get back to us when the Griz routinely showup on Morgantown TV...BTW, you should be at Nelson Stadium watching your very watchable Saints. You're not in West Virginia anymore, Toto.
