Honestly, what is worse?

Making it to the chipper and taking an absolute beat down on national TV, embarrassing your program and conference

Or

Not making the title game at all?

I’m torn.

This post aged like a fine French wine. How we feeling hooked?

Imagine being so pissed off about a thread and dwelling on it. Holding it in your pocket for two years and then finally being able to use it when your rival losses in the chipper after your program was bounced first round.

What a wild and sad thing.

Without the mental capacity to understand it was posted on your rival’s board! These bubs are the dumbest fucks I’ve ever encountered

I was beginning to worry about them. Hadn’t heard a peep in about a month and a half. It’s been glorious. Good to see they’re crawling out of their holes again tho.

The Griz beat NDSU on national TV in an epic playoff classic. How is this not a huge positive for the program? SDSU would have rolled anyone the played. How is this embarrassing?

They're like cockroaches that way. You think you've gotten rid of them but they always come back.

Cat bitch trolls holding onto a post from 2 years ago and trying to use it now….I’ve already won. Hooked 1000, Cats Bitch Trolls 0. 😆

The Griz were competitive as hell for 2.5 quarters before a couple turnovers flipped the mojo…about 100% opposite of the embarrassing non-competitive ass beating the Cats took in Frisco. Shit they were down 28-0 at half and 38-3 after 3. Laughable.

The jacks didn't trounce the griz by an means. Griz basically beat themselves and really still could have turned it around in the 4th. Unfortunately they didn't but, the game wasn't over starting the 4th.

Really?

Given the turnovers, the Griz D did more than hold their own. The offense showed up in spurts and not scoring in the first drive of the game and the TO after a good start to the 2nd half were killers.

Always rather play in the chipper. Best recruiting tool their is

That wasn't a beat down. IF you think that game looked ANYTHING like the ONE chipper your team has made you're delusional.

Compared to the other FCS action that weekend?

You are correct. They were down 28-0 at halftime and 21-0 after the first quarter. Hell they were down 38 to 3 in the third. The espn win probability had South Dakota State at 100% midway through the second quarter in that game. Like I stated earlier, that was an embarrassment to that program and to the big sky conference.

Just my two cents, but I would prefer to take the perspective that it’s been a terrific season, and that, while any loss sucks, the team should be proud as hell of how far they got and eager to move on to what’s next. Whether that’s graduation and life, or a rest before winter conditioning and preparing to get back and win it all.

I don’t know many successful athletes (or people in general) who spend much time on “what’s worse.”

Go Griz!

No team starts the season thinking, "man I hope we almost make it to the championship game this year". The ultimate goal in every sport is to win it all, every player would rather have a chance to win it all than not. I never understand the thinking of, we got beat bad so it wasn't worth it. You had a shot, it wasn't your day, but every person that has played wants the opportunity.

Brint!! Do you hear this? All this "receipts" you kept and brought back up in your tweets this year were pathetic according to your fellow posters. I thought it was sweet revenge on your part. But I guess these guys are thinking this about you bringing things back up. Sorry you have to put up with that.

My thoughts are it was better for both Bozeman and the Griz to make it to the championship and lose to a superior team. The amount of free press, exposure and good will both teams received because of the championship game cannot be understated.

I think it also helps create a better fan base - one that is not just in it for the winning only. We saw what happened this year when NDSU lost a few games, the rats abandoned the ship. I like to think this loss to the jackrabbits makes us both hungry for success and appreciative of victories. I loved how every damn Montana fan was wearing their colors proudly in the airports yesterday returning from the game. It was fantastic!
