Well, there CAN be a wearer of #37 on offense, defense, and presumably special teams, just not on the field at the same time, correct? But, that would water down the 'Honor' considerably. Janacaro needs to be reminded that it's not just a defensive award.

Do you really think Janacaro needs to be reminded about anything related to the award? One would hope it's permanently etched in his long term memory! I for one have great faith that lots of thought will go into the decision and regardless of who wears it or why, will be the best choice. Under any circumstances I can only imagine I'll find great joy in cheering for "37" again next year!

The #37 Jersey honor has been great for the Griz FB program, and I hope that this tradition remains "player controlled" and the fans, media, school administration, coaches etc. remain hands-off as much as possible.

Because the basketball player didn’t wreck the vehicle, call his friend and have his friend drive the vehicle. Also….dui can be applied to drugs as well - it may not have even been drinking (though I could have missed a further report on breathalyzer, BAC level).
