Put Jordan Johnson on the teams in Stitt Year 1 and Stitt Year 2 and how do you think they do?
In the race to berate or defend the Stitt hire, many have brought up Delaney's last two seasons. Some have argued Stitt took over a team in great shape while others argue poor recruiting left many positions with talent levels below our standards. Some argue both.
Whatever your stance, I think there is likely universal agreement that Jordan Johnson was better than any QB we have had on our active roster the last two years.
Perhaps Johnson helped mask roster issues. Or Gus and crew, while playing their heart out, were good but not great. Point being, if we had better talent at that one key position, would we be singing a different tune?
My guess the original question: this year we would be at least two wins better (UNC, MSU) and last year at least two wins better (Cal Poly, Weber) which likely would have meant at least one more home game or a bye.
It is the off season, let's have a little fun.
