I thought it was something like shoulder surgery on both shoulders right out of high school.

If I remember right he tore one of both labrums and had surgery between senior year of high school and coming to the Griz. Was a redshirt in 2015 and was playing linebacker and blocking back on offense in short yardage the beginning of 2016 and got hurt again. Hung up the cleats with the Griz summer of 2017.

I think you are correct. Both shoulders.

This is correct. He was a great athlete (linebacker, running back, wide receiver) that likely would have starred at his position of choice. He reminded me of Matt Sczur from Villanova with his athletic ability. He never recovered from recurring shoulder issues and hung it up a year or two ago. I am very surprised to see him at Rocky now.

Okay, glad to know I wasn't imagining the whole thing. I'm glad he's been able to make a recovery and I hope he's able to give the Battlin' Bears a couple of good seasons.
