Where would the scholarships come from to recruit more out of state players? Top out of state recruits don’t come to UM without scholarships. I doubt that many out of state recruits come without scholarships either.

Giving more scholarships to out of state recruits would reduce scholarships to the top Montana recruits who get scholarships, and we would lose many of them.

More out of state scholarships would also increase the athletic budget too. What should-could the athletic dept. cut to pay for more scholarship money? Reduce coaches’ salaries? Reduce recruiting budget?

Which MT kids would we take schollies from to give to more to out of staters? Braxton Hill? He was a walk-on. All of the starting backers from last year were walk-ons. Which out of starters other than kickers came without schollies?
