Hilliard is the lineup, due to injury, and getting some love from the announcers. On local cable, CBS.

Lex is the starting fullback. They cut "The Terminator" because of Lex's play.

The tailback got hurt today, and Hilliard has been playing some tailback, as well as fullback in the I. Pay more attention, or don't post. There was an injury today in the second half.
Catch up PR... this was posted last week on ESPN-New York. Youre f***[*]' with the wrong Lifetime Jets Fan.
He's remained at fullback. McKnight played running back after Greene went out. Or we watching the same game??

Actually, Lex came in for Greene on the first play after Greene went out. I'll bet you $100. Want to bet? Yes, McKnight also played some tailback after Greene went out. Lex was the sole back on multiple plays, including the last one. Too bad he didn't give better help to the o-lineman who got beat on that play.

Lex... 3 carries for 14 yards. Two draws and one off tackle inside the Red Zone as the power back AFTER McKnight was taken out.

Again, I'll bet you $100 that Lex came in as the sole back on the play after Greene went out? Either bet me, or admit that you're wrong.

Yeah Hilliard has missed quite a few blitz pickups (at least 3) today..........didnt see anyone mention that yet.

Wonder why?

Because that did not occur. The announcers were complimenting his blocking. Could have done better on the last play and given the o-lineman more help, tho.

Two reasons, one probably okay, one perhaps lame.
(1) We don't expect perfection. Blitz: Won some, lost some -- like most NFL backs. General blocking ... again some misses, but overall good enough to get the job done. (Doubt the Jets will find anyone better, at this point.)
(2) People would like to see the good side and just ignore the not so good -- particularly with the Griz season currently in the dumper.

Seriously ... not trying to start an argument. Let's face it, Lex's real NFL talent is being good on special teams. And with the latest RB injury, I'll bet the Jets are glad to have him.

They were complimenting his blocking ... but (as suggested above) he was hardly perfect. Aside from that: Not sure (didn't do a replay), but it kinda looked to me like Lex was supposed to release as a check-down receiver on that last play. If so, it was a classic "rock and a hard place" -- help on the blocking or be there when the QB lofted a desperation pass. Oh well.

Gotta love my Jets. They're reminding me of another team I cheer for this year.

i agree with you here. Their fans remind me of another whiny bunch of fans.

Whiny = Astute. Cheerleaders need to have some pom poms 'Digger. Dig yours out of the closet. ;)

He looked good out there for the most part. Glad he found a team. Was everywhere, think he forced a fumble on a kickoff. After the game yesterday lots of oat sodas, lots of football.....might explain some of the incoherentness. :(

Ees playor rep and zee mayoor zee same? A $100 wager and no response? And senor hilliarsld-3-14 yds. And 1-8 catching zee ball. Senor nugyen may perhaps do the same for team of pity jets.

Speedy Grizzales afraid to post under his regular name. Looks like another one of those posters who thinks he has balls he actually doesn't have, when he posts anonymously on the internet.

I think me and Rep were watching the same game... I just don't know if Alphie was watching it. I'm checking the tapes today to see if I can find all those blown blocks AG says he seen. I think the Rex and Lex Show might be somewhat permanent. Hilliard is SOOOO much more athletic and intelligent than "The Terminator", it's a made me think the Jets braintrust finally is "getting it".
