Red Lodge beats Columbus 52 to 36. First victory over the Cougars since '95. RL's Quarterback is apparently the real deal, but Columbus has a good Sophomore, too.

That's great. I played for the "Redskins" in the mid to late 70's and we were pretty good, but really haven't heard much from them in a long time. GO REDSKINS!

Would you have played with a Hilderman and likely a Hyvonen? I recall seeing the plaques for those teams. I was part of the brief resurgence of RL football in the mid '90s. Wins over Columbus are few and far between for the 'skins, or Rams, as it is now, of course. Hoping that Fitzgerald can keep the program on an upward swing.

I believe Butte's Offense is averaging (I don't know exactly, but...) in the 40's a game after 5 games thus far.

Their Defense usually gives up a lot of points as well though.

But they are 4-1, so no complaints here.

Then out of curiousity, did you all ever beat Columbus? I'd be interested to see what the record is for the last forty years or so. I would imagine it's less than five times as I know they never beat them in the 80's.

We never played Columbus, they were class C then.
