Hey ROOT!

This is great. I was worried about the shift and if they'd really put much effort in FCS games, but wow, I really like the coverage. Crew knows their stuff.

This is good for the BSC but really good for the Montana schools. Awesome day when you can watch both schools back to back on HDTV!!! :thumb:

Got to say Root kicks ass! Nice to be in Big12 country and watch Griz games at the local sports bars!! Although we had no less than three diffrent people come by, stop, and say "WTF"???(red turf) is this a high school game???? Easterns field looked FLAT OUT HORRIBLE on TV! They should have spent money on bleachers, not horrible looking RED TURF!!! Montana did a great amount of advertising during game, and everywhere the camera went you could see MONTANA GRIZZLIES!!! Root is good for UM and the BIG SKY!!

In first half though their pan out when the ball was snapped did not inlude TM in the picture. He was off screen most of the time. 2nd half ROOT camera people seemed to correct that problem. I know how would I know I was hammered but my uncle pointed it out and I said, "shit you are right, the QB is not in the picture when the ball is snapped.". Otherwise good coverage, not having Bob H. in the booth is a hugh improvement by itself.

Root is by far the best coverage we have seen for GRIZ, and Big Sky football games. I like the better commercials too. The most impressive part is their announcing teams. They know the teams well, and they focus on the game they are broadcasting!!!! ESPN take notes, and learn. Root is so far ahead of class and respect to FCS teams, and division than ESPN.

I honestly wish Root/Fox had the FCS playoffs, instead of the inferior treatment from ESPN.

That I can agree with, ESPN still refers to FCS as D II sometimes.

I admit I was wrong about it. I was really skeptical about the move to Root. Sucks that it's not local and accessible, but I think the coverage is worth it. My buddy said it's only $5 a month for the channel? I agree with msuhunter too that it's awesome to be able to watch cats and Griz back to back on a day like today

Fully agree. I was watching the game during the first half with a fan from Villanova and he was impressed that out here in o' Montana that we even have local coverage on our teams, yet alone the excellent quality of the broadcast. If anyone remembers a Matt Szczur he's now a 2B for the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs these days; Griz fans might remember him. He was really surprised that the Griz didn't beat Sam Houston State last year; all things considered. Oh well, next week is an another doubleheader, if not mistaken. I can easily see MSU losing their next four games, though.

What...no one misses the psychedelic effects the KPAX cameras had when the last @EWU game was shown? No one enjoyed how their cameras couldn't handle the red field and it looked like a bad LSD trip at random points in the game?

Have to say, the quality is so much better on Root Sports. Very impressed :)
