Hero Sport's Montana Football Preview

Very fair assessment. QB is the biggest question mark along with D line in my opinion. Just need a game manager to take care of the ball and get it to your playmakers and we are in business.
I'll second your opinion. Don't expect the Griz to be QB University for several years. We have very good players in all the position groups for the 2025 season.

Fair. Many question marks, but I would argue the team is more talented this year. I might be in the minority, but I feel like the QB position is incredibly solid. Another offseason will be huge for them. Also, the experience of the coaches will help to bring the newcomers up to speed quickly. The running game and defense will be incredibly salty, taking a lot of pressure off of the QB. This team will be undefeated heading into cat/Griz and the home team seems to have that game locked down. Number 2 by week 4.

I would agree with you. Hopefully hit big on a few of these transfers and Griz are good to go.

The big question is… did the coaches learn from last years QB inconsistencies?

Will they game plan to take pressure off of the QB and just let him control the game?

Cliff was a major influence on Griz success in ‘23. He managed the game, picked up yards when he could, and got the ball to the playmakers. He never did too much and play calling suited his strengths.

I like the potential and depth at every position group. My biggest concern, how long it takes for all the new faces to gel? Fortunately, the schedule is extremely conducive to that.

I expect a minor roller-coaster and growing pains on each side of the ball. As for qb, Jensen looked much better than I expected in the spring scrimmage.
Honestly, can the qb situation be worse than how 2024 played out? I very much doubt it'll be worse.

I'm thinking Hauck and Pease learned a lot from their part in it. I expect to see 2 qbs again, but in a more advantageous manner. AhYat is more experienced now. Jensen is in a better position than he was with USC. All signs lead me to have faith and high belief with our qb group.

I agree with most that think this is a fair assessment of the Griz. Contrary to some, I think this is the year Keali'i Ah Yat breaks out, just like his old man, and takes the Griz to the National Championship and one ups his old man and wins it.

I have that same feeling. A lot of young guys will get TONS of experience this season in the second half of games...good problem to have!

If the coaches “take pressure off the QB and just let them manage the game”. This whole board will bitch and moan about “Bobby Ball” and “Playing not to lose.” No matter what the win loss record is.
