Hermason in trouble...ugh

Check out the 4th one below.

"If you knowingly or purposefully do any of the following actions you could be charged with a criminal mischief offense in Montana:

Injure, damage, or destroy any property of someone else or public property,

Tamper with someone else’s or public property to endanger or interfere with people, property, or its use,

Damage or destroy any property with the purpose to defraud an insurer, or

Fail to close a gate that was previously unopened leading in or out of any enclosed premises."

Leaving gates open can be a serious problem, especially if livestock are involved. Vandalizing a couple of signs not so much. Short suspension, fine/restitution, community service.

Boneheaded action by Hermey, knowing how prior instances have been handled I assume he'll miss the NAU game. His stupid actions are frustrating as this team is trying to overcome this kind of an "above the law" attitude. Add in that he's presumably not going to be available for the most important game to date... just makes me shake my head.

An msu player had a similar incedent in the off season. He sat out first two games this year. I would expect a 1-2 game suspension. The only reason it could be more severe is that it took place mid-season.

Ironic or coincidence? Someone going by the name of signedbewildered starting a thread about someone destroying sign(s)(while)be(ing)wild(ered). I just found that funny.

Ugh!.....INDEED

Petty "crime" but most disturbing is this guys cluelessness in light of a program seeking its former good graces, bet his teammates are puzzled at the least.......

Gone for a minimum of one game, perhaps more depending on other in program antics not publicly reported...

Can't be said any better than that. And the "it's just a misdemeanor" defense is flat out dumb. Most of those same people would be all over the cats if it were one of their players. His selfish actions hurt the team.

Good observation, that is funny....but not as funny as the MPD not knowing where to find Hermason to execute their warrant.

Side note: Fan of John Prine's writing

Hes not clueless, people break things when they drink, like none of you have broke motorized gates, a 75 MBG, lawnmowers or a hydro electric dam when you have been drinking?

A couple signs isnt even worth wasting your time.

My guess would be Whitted will get the start. He's been the #2 at both safety positions, Rominger is day to day, and Gamboa played mostly linebacker yesterday.

All that comes to my mind is MD's sign in his office;
"Don't screw this team or your teammates by being a selfish asshole"

Although I have no room to talk as I was a "selfish asshole" at that age...

I'm not sure about the rest of it but there was that time when I was 15 and broke my bottle of MD 20/20.

dear hermy, dear hermy, you have no complaint...

I don't think he should be suspended for more than a game. I think a one game suspension would be just fine if delaney were to also make an example of him in another way. What if his reinstatement was contingent upon a public apology to the city, fans, university, and teammates either at the press conference or through a letter to the editor or something. I feel like something that genuine would go a long ways, and would actually be more constructive than a multiple game suspension.

I dont even get why he would be suspended, its not like he had a party disturbed the peace and got tased and arrested................

Hey now. Don't give the Wheat Montana guys any ideas for a new music video.

This stuff happens at all schools. It is so frustrating. But, remember these are kids and sometimes they just don't get it. Not any different than we were as kids. We as fans cringe when this happens. Just think how the coaches feel when they work so hard at trying to prevent this stuff! It's a krapshoot for sure. It's just a misdemeanor and should result in a light suspension. It's the publicity that sucks!
