Imagine how good this season can be if the defense returns to being a force against the run and the pass.

Yeah, I mean, IMAGINE how good a team would be if their defense can stop both the opponents RUN game AND their PASSING game!!

When a safety is the #2 tackler from last years team, now the top returning tackler, doesn't that say something about the defensive philosophy?

I can respect this though..

“I’m tired of the excuses. I have none,” Griz defensive coordinator Ty Gregorak said after practice Tuesday. “This will be my third year so I expect to be better myself. I told the defense (Monday) night it’s been a heck of a learning curve for me, too.

“I feel like with another year under my belt, I’ll be better. I expect to be better. It just takes a little time. It’s been a process going from position coach to coordinator. I also expect the players to take some ownership in this defense. I told them last night.”

I can respect this type of attitude too but the coaching graveyard is full of coaches that spouted this type of rhetoric after some difficult years. TG just needs to get results. Maybe this is the year.
