Proud Griz Man said:To me, it really looked like Idaho was not dominant at Greely, after getting lucky against the Bobcats (Taco had a TD pass hit him in the facemask - if Spuds play Bobcats 10 times the Spuds lose 7), and if not for a couple more pass drops and poor execution on 3rd & 4th down runs) the Griz could have had a 2-3 score win against the Spuds in their largest-hyped-up game of the decade. Great QB but the Spuds have a bunch of inconsistent, young players.

I really don’t like playing that game. because once you go down that rabbit hole, you could go back and dissect the first 4 games of the Griz season..and you wouldn’t like what you found (with the exception of Utah Tech).
Idaho is what they are. As are the Griz. We are ascending…I don’t believe they are. Nor do I believe the ‘Scats are. I think Herder’s poll (and his logic) in hindsight make perfect sense, and I think it’s the most accurate representation of where teams currently stand out there.
Proud Griz Man said:Actually I did not ask you to play that game/ any game. Just saying that Idaho had an Underwhelming win at NoCo.
Coach Eck has done a tremendous job, but if he loses his QB to the transfer portal, there is chance he will have another rebuilding project ahead.

Don’t get your feelers hurt, just pointing out that we’ve had 4 “underwhelming games”, including one we lost, against competition that theoretically we should have blown out. So when you start qualifying wins and losses, it works a lot like the transitive property.
Proud Griz Man said:Truthfully, No one has hurt feelers. Just correcting you - somehow you read my comments as beginning with "Please Mr. AZ I really want you to play a game ".
I understand your comments about the first four games, and I have not discounted them. To take that further, I still vividly remember last November in Gallatin when the
Griz defense did not ever force the bubcats to Punt once. So there is still much to prove. The bubcats ran the ball at will in the last 3 of 4 meetings.
Back to Idaho, & to comment further on Sac State - they are good teams but not without flaws. I have not watched Furman. SDSU looks big, tough, physical, complete.

Everyone struggles to look dominant in Greeley. It’s quite literally the worst place to play D-1 football in the entire western United States.
