Volvo, that is the third time you said "Griz paw on the side" in a thread. There is no paw. The word Griz or Griz script, like you see in the picture has been the signature helmet logo for over two decades. I have no idea what you mean by "traditional Griz paw on the sides".

Also, you guys do realize these are the same silver helmets the Griz have been wearing. It's not a new helmet, just white sticker and white facemasks same as Griz-Cat 2011. The matte maroon helmets are a SWEET alternate helmet that you will see again. The players absolutely loved the uni combo for the app state game. I would bet the maroon helmets will make an appearance in Bozeman in November. As for other helmets, there are prototypes: white, matte black and a shiny maroon. But I doubt Montana has 100 or more helmets of each of those colors at this point. I would suspect these are the only two colors we'll see this season, with the matte black going into rotation next year. But that's just a hunch.

What I'm more interested to see is if the Griz go with the maroon pant with the new white tops for the road games, or if they keep the black pant/white top combo for road games. I was told there is no white pants in the new line. The griz got two new pants this year. The maroon ones we saw against appy, and the traditional silver. But they still have the solid black set from the last two years as well.

They probably didn't get new white pants because the ones they have had the last few years don't need to be replaced. I have no idea but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw white pants this year with the white jerseys. This weekends helmets with maroon tops and white pants at home might look pretty good.

There's a picture I saw on Facebook of Tripp wearing the new maroon jersey and silver pants. Not only does it look completely different from anything we had last year, but you can tell the fabric is way different too, like the one guy noted in the Nike uniform thread where Nate Harris said it's the lightest jersey he's ever worn.

I wouldn't be surprised to see new white pants if we ever did use them.

Wrong. They are both nice. Different and nice. Like choosing between a blond or brunette. It is like having the choice between Farrah Fawcet and Jacqueline Smith. Can't lose with either one. (I know I dated myself there. I was such a Charlie's Angels fan.)
