Hello from a Husky fan

I don't know much about your team and I doubt you know much about mine so I'll spare the prognostications, flaming, etc. and I'll link to an article you guys might find interesting and informative re: the Huskies.

:)

:o :o Thanks Josh UW, Thanks for the article. I would like to return the favor but nobody has written about this team. At least nothing had been written up to 4:00 pm yesterday. After I secure a ticket I will provide some information. Might take another 12 hours to secure a ticket to dance. :o :o

Nobody here in Montana knows much about the Griz either. Many of the local Montana newspapers write as though they don't even exist. Washington should be in for a breeze.

Thanks for the link JoshUW. Very interesting article. I can't wait to watch the game between the Griz and UW :) By the way, don't pay any attention to puzzledinmt here.. he's our token board troll who every once in a while, when his parents aren't home, sneaks onto the boards and spews negativity for some unknown reason.

I think he's just mad that he didn't make his 7th grade basketball team this year & now hates everything that has anything to do with basketball :P

Sure I read about that point guard you all got in ESPN the magazine.

Well that's too bad your local media doesn't give your team any coverage. I would say beat UW to get some NATIONAL coverage, but I can't do that =)

Yep that point guard we got is Nate Robinson and he's amazing. He'll honestly pull off a play or two every few games that simply defy logic, even if you get to see a replay a few times.

The rest of our guards aren't half bad, either, but no one talks about them and that's ok with me... surprise factor.

Josh,

Don't listen to PuzzldinMT, he seems to have a very negative approach to our Men's BBall program.

Missoula is a "football first" town, you can easily tell that by the number of football posts on this board compared to the amount of basketball posts. But we do love all of our Grizzly athletics and support them. While the football team does get more press during its season, the Basketball teams are all the town is talking about right now, both our men and women are in the tourney. (If you're going to be in Seattle and not Boise this weekend, go watch the Lady Griz, they're the #12 spot taking on #5 Vanderbilt).

Our men's current head coach is in his 1st year, he gradutated from the UM and was one of the town's favorite guys, and probably in the top 5 best players to come out of the UM program. This year he took almost the same team from last year and turned them around to go on and win the Big Sky tournament.

We love our Griz, and we support them, if you hear otherwise, you're listening to the wrong people.

And there is nobody in Montana that knows less about Griz Athletics than the resident "pud" of eGriz...puzzledinmt/wimpything. Gotta give her props for choosing a screen-name that fits, huh?

This guy started out with nothing, and has most of it left. If you think I'm wrong...just wait, and check out his response to this post.

That Nate Robinson sounds pretty amazing. Read another article on him that was posted over on the scout.com message board for the Huskies. The article was this one:

Should be a fun game to watch :) Unfortunately I'll be doing the same thing I did for the Weber State game...recording it, keeping myself in the dark, then watching it when I get home from work...

About nate robinson, i watched him since he played with the stewart twins at rainier beach (i went to the 3A tournament his senior year and was amazed).

He's continued to be amazing throughout his U-dub career (both on the football field and on the bball court).

Josh, he's planning on going pro this year, eh? I stop by the dawgman board every once in a while and they all seem to be pretty sure about it. I'm a big fan (always have been since i had a purple/gold bedroom from the day i came home from the hospital as a little one - dad graduated from u-dub dental school) and will continue to be throughout this tournament......i'm rooting for the griz though on thursday, i've gotta.

Good luck in the game!

re: Nate Robinson going pro I'd say 99% odds of that. He doesn't have anything left to prove IMO.

I can appreciate you rooting for the old alma mater but after the game you can root for the... other team that wins :)

I'll put it this way josh.....i'm going to be rooting for the "winner" of the UM/UW game for the rest of the tournament :)
