Hellgate Basketball

Sentinel has the unfortunate disadvantage of having to play in Helena again. Helena and Butte are the absolute two hardest cities to try to win games in. The refs in these two places absolutely love to lay the screw job on the visiting teams. I wish the Spartans the best of luck, they're gonna need it.

Hellgate should waltz into the championship game, they got the easy side of the bracket and they are definitely peaking at the right time. I'd like to see Cox get a trophy, he deserves one.

Easy side? Most likely they will have Capital or GFH to deal with on their side of the bracket.

GFH is hot as anyone right now and Howard can handle his own against McGillis. I think Capital beat Hellgate once this year too, so I wouldnt count your Knights before they've hatched.

AA tourney is going to be a fun one, wish I didnt have to leave town that weekend. Hellgate is favored obviously, but I think West, Butte and Capital can give them a run for their money. And other than a late season fade, I would have put Bozeman in that group too.

Agreeing with Cat Pride. The Knights got just as long aways to go as anyone does. Their first game won't be easy. CMR is very hot right now. And the way Senior plays they can knock off anyone. Just ask Billings West. And if they do make it past that one. Capital did get thrashed just a while ago, but neutral court. And Great Falls High w/ one of the most consistent players right now, Howard, will be hanging around too. There is no cake walk in the AA period.

On every team in the AA this year's best night, Hellgate is 20 or more points better than any other team. I have absolutely no doubt in saying that. Oh Yeah, and BOBBY, McGillis and the Knights will eat you alive if you face them again. You may be consistant, but not consistantly dominating.

Come on MtHoops, how do you really feel, quit beating around the bush and tell us how you really feel! 8)
I love this time of year!!!!!

Went to the Sentinel vs. Helena game last night. Good game, great atmosphere, haven't seen that Helena gym that packed for a few years since Davin Blixt was playing.

Sentinel will be a force in a couple years, Henkel and Garland will be absolute studs. Good year Spartans, it was fun watching a young team that will become much better. I wish Kellen Hasquet the best of luck in his college endeavors, whch should be quite successful.

But since my Spartans are now out I will be rooting for those Knights. I really do like some of the kids on this year's Hellgate team especially Cox who is a class act. It will be fun to cheer them on to a Championship trophy, good luck Knights!!!

All that talents going to feal kinda stupid after they finish 3rd at state.

REMEMBER ME?... This is from page 3 of this thread just in case anyone wants to check up. I'm just doing what I said I was gonna do. This is also for all you doubters out there who trash talked Hellgate all year. Who trashed on McGillis, Who trashed on Morris, Who trashed on Cox, Who trashed on Sampson, etc.

How you like 'em NOW?!

Now for every Hellgate fan who wants to talk can do it. You now have the right and even more so, the CREDABILITY.

So let the talkin' begin..........

I'm happy for Sampson and all the players, except Morris. I could do without him. They proved they could play smart and under control. Good for them and great year.

Congrats to Hellgate they played well.

I still don't like the offense they run but they did a good job.

The difference with them the second half of the year was that they played defense and for the most part, did not settle for threes. They were easily the most talented team, I just wasn't sure if they would be willing to share to ball and play smart. But they did and that's why they are wearing nets around their necks as we speak. Now, is Sampson going to stay and see what he can do without the best talent in the state. That is the big question.
