Hell Yeah, GRIZ Washington game thread

So the Washington coach was wearing a hat that says "Run The Damn Ball". If I recall correctly they ran for about 67 yards. Man might need a new hat.

No mystery, when the opponent's defense is gassed, you don't give them the rest they need between plays.

Also, milking the clock allows the defense to time the snap consistently. D lineman love knowing when the ball will be snapped.

Both great points that I agree with. There’s a lot of variables that can can be argued, but in a one score game I wouldn’t ever consider running the play clock down every time, to me it has always appeared to take the offense out of sync and allow the defense to time the snap and renew some life. Now if you’re up by 12 and the clock ticks under 5 minutes…maybe you take your time and snap at 5 or 10 seconds every time, still keeps them honest but keeps the offense in flow with a light foot on the gas.

But that’s me, and I haven’t played the game for decades.
