Hell Yeah, GRIZ Washington game thread

Did that seriously just happen.
Unreal, biggest upset in program history.
Griz of old are back

This. It's nice to see a team be invested and not give up. These boys got heart and fire.

If I was a Griz recruit riding the fence ....that would make me want to play for a team with that heart, desire and intensity. Great recruiting win

Post of the year.

What a massive and impressive win for the Griz. Cam Humphrey was the difference maker once he finally settled down. Defense was dynamite. That may be the biggest win of my lifetime. As coach Decuire once said “every days a great day to be a Griz fan, but sometimes it’s a little bit better then that.”

Bobby has talked about telling recruits to go watch the 2009 App State game, but I think it's a pretty good bet he's now going to tell them to watch this game. What a win!

Real good. I recall not too long ago Coach Hauck said about all those tall, skinny line recruits "We'll just throw them in the weight room and see what comes out."

This extra Covid year affords the I-AA schools all the extra kids and one has to skim through the scores this weekend to see what a difference it makes. SDSU manhandled Colorado State as did these kids tonight. MSU should have had more points than Wyoming but a certain demographic was not going to allow that to happen.

It ought to be a really good year for football if you're a small college football fan this year. The wannabe schools really suck. Time to combine the FCS and group of 5. Same number of scholarships and the I-AA schools are competitive.

What demographic? Both MSU and Wyoming were boring. Looked very lethargic with no heart. 2 really bad teams that just wanted to go sit on the couch.

Then go sit on your ass. That's all you do anyway. That and piss everybody off with your idiotic posts.

The ending of the Cat and Griz games were both pretty damn good college football games.

Crow, a species of bird extinct since the early 2020's. Reportedly related to a pagan ritual in Western Montana.
I'll settle for a personal acknowledgment from the non-believers. I think/reason with my heart, so as the saying goes, "Even a blind pig finds a truffle now and then." :thumb:

Maybe my favorite part of the game was when the fans started booing Justin Ford when he got animated after we stuffed them several times in the 4th quarter.

I love how fierce this defense is.

If I expect contrition from Griz disbelievers, I must confess my disbelief that Cam was up to the task. He was, and I was wrong.

One of the biggest parts of a successful team is belief. When kids will run through a brick wall for their coaches, it can take a good team and turn them into a great team, even a very special team. This is the hardest I've seen a Griz team work in a long time, you could see it in their eyes in the fourth quarter, they were stating to believe!! We're starting to see signs of the last time Bobby was here. Even if we had lost, I made the comment at half time, this is one of the most sound fundamental teams we've seen in a long time. Hopefully signs of things to come!! Great win for sure!!

Huge tip of the hat to special teams. Perusing the stats, 47 yds per punt with 1 9 yd return. Kickoff coverage was great as well. The pooch kick late that their guy just had to cover inside the 20 kept them from decent field position after we scored late and they always have some burners on returns. Those guys just made all the plays needed.

The football world in the PNW is in shock, according to the media. Right now, the only thing that would get their attention away from this game is if MT. Rainier started erupting.

Don’t be an asshole.

Just trying to imitate you - ASSHOLE

Cam was huge, Griz would not have won without him. Just like everyone else on the roster.

I apologize for saying you should not be an asshole. Should have said don’t be a turd. The delivery vessel is important, the excrement not so much.

The defense played a flawless fourth quarter and the offense played error free ball especially late when it was needed. I listened to the game on Leerfield and the Washington commentators and it was interesting to hear them realize that Washington was going to lose. A truly great win. There is an energy to this team that, barring injuries, could be a fun time this year. A well coached game.

One of the most disturbing and awesome things witnessed during the game
To hide his identity I won’t give the number, but to see a player have a dislocated knee and then realign it with his own hands before trainers could get to him and the limp off field, gave me a new found respect for what these kids do.
