I was with a group of cat fans tonight during their game. They very seriously believe that NEXT year they will be GREAT. Also, "nobody want's to play the cats next week." I get it. I really do. They have played a *tough* schedule this year. They DO have some "good losses." They play hard, and show a lot of emotion. But they also make mistakes that GOOD teams DON'T make. I'm not saying the Griz are world beaters at this point, but the cats will have their hands full next week. And so will the Griz. I guess my point is, I'm not sure how cat fans can continually say they have a good team-when they keep losing. All the "if's, and's and buts" in the world....They love their youth. They neglect the youth on the Griz.
If we are going to play the "If's and buts" game-what happens if Murray is out after game 3? How does choate win with 3rd and 4rth string QBs playing in ALL of his seasons as head coach?
No answers from cat fans.
Let's just say this: Next week is ALL about young Murrays ability to throw the ball, and conversely the ability of the Griz to contain Murray (cat defense is not bad, but let's be honest, it's about msu offense). Emotions will be high on both sides, at least I hope. Stitt and Co. MUST get their boys up for the game. If they do, and the defense is able to somewhat contain Murray, then I think we have a good game; winner comes away with a 4 or 7 point win. It has a chance of being a close one, so let's buckle down and get behind our team. Go Griz! FTC.
