He said... she said...

People, I have awoken for a moment...

After reading this stuff for what seems like 6 months, one thing is quite obvious. This comes down to "he said... she said..."

In a court of law these are the hardest cases to litigate because there is not much real evidence. It comes down to who is "more" believable. If there was hard evidence or facts this case would already be resolved, one way or another.

This is why the powers that be seem like such dufasses... they really don’t know what to do.

Legally they are in a catch 22. If it if found that "she said" is right then all hell will break loose from the fem Nazis and there liberal friends.

If "he said" is right, then all hell will break loose from a rabid fan base that will look to lynch RE and anyone else involved.

I'm not saying RE is doing a good job... on the contrary... he has handled this very poorly by not letting the "peeps" know what is happening. IE He could say "This is a legal matter between two people and we are waiting to see the outcome before reaching a verdict of our own” HE NEEDS TO BE WAY MORE PROACTIVE, at least as Proactive as he can legally be.

If it is true that there is someone (Williams) pulling some puppet strings then the whole state of Montana regents and officials need to come under a HUGE microscope, and the anger of all fans (UM, msu (etc.)) should seek to release them from their duties.

If Williams has made a "he said... she said..." incident into a political football then he/she needs their footballs kicked.

Again, I am not taking any sides in this crap... I just wish there was some REAL leadership that had the Balls to step up, get ahead of the curve and LEAD!!!

I return you to your previous channel as I move back into a slumber....

The reason why the "she said--he said" cases are generally not prosecuted, is that a good prosecutor knows that he/she has to prove the "she said" beyond a reasonable doubt, which is a very high standard. Also, the announcement was made by the deputy commissioner of higher education, not by Engstrom, so if Williams is the pushing force it seems odd that the commissioner's office is the one coming out with the statement. I agree, Payton, that Engstrom would be smart to say the U is going to let the process run its course before it takes action.

Royce is not a real leader and hence the actual issue is his poor leadership.

The folks on here saying how UM is thug u etc are flat out lying or else deluding themselves because UM is not much different in any regard from any other non religious University of similiar size in America in terms of crime commited by athletes or regular students.

Royce firing Oday and Pflu was and continues to be complete bullshit. Though he is not being honest about the firings at this moment due to lawsuits its pretty damn obvious they related to the JJ situation and the pressure from outside the University of the way the U handles assault cases. Not just sexual assaults by football players but also the other 99 percent of alleged sexual assault cases in the last few years that were NOT UM football players.

The arbitrary firings of Oday and Pflu have done nothing to stem the tide of criticism at UM, bring UMs reputation back from the circus atmosphere its in now, or please the femi nazi bitches like Gwen Florio and Co. In fact Engstrom is a weak leader and those who HATE UM FOOTBALL like Florio, and many in the local and statewide community in Montana who also despise UM football will continue to attack UM until the maximium amount of damge is done.

Royce is bringing much of this on UM by not standing by his people, being honest and forthright about how sexual assaults are dealt with and clearly forging public trust in UM without throwing innocent people like Oday and Pflu under the bus.

Good posts, one and all. I am surpirsed you haven't been attacked by usual suspects, at least not yet.

Lynch mobs, lynch mobs, lynch mobs, guess what Tokoyo, lynch mobs!

MooU, the irony here is that you are actually more predictable than the poster you're implying is, is.

Tokyo may go overboard at times (so do A LOT of others), but I've yet to see anyone actually intelligently refute his argument(s) in this particular arena. People just keep giving him sh*t and using the phrase lynch mob, but not actually addressing the ideas. :twocents:

Warning: Language. Oh and it is Limp Bizkit.
