Hazing accusations at San Diego

Hazing locally seems to be a thing with Glacier HS. Over a decade ago you had ol' Logan Jones dragging freshman to the back of the bus on trips and shoving stuff up their asses. Glacier did the "right thing" in pressuring the victims to resign and change schools as Glacier was building a championship program....pretty sure he played for blowsman, so it makes sense. Now they're dealing with the hazing on the wrestling team where guys (one specific, very good wrestler) was "allegedly" putting his balls in players' mouths while they slept and others took pictures/videos of it. Glacier tried to sweep it under the rug and a lot of people tied to Glacier tried to say it was "just boys being boys"...you know, except for the whole filing charges and lawsuit thing by the victims. I just don't get the hazing thing because it is so much worse than what it used to be. Sad

A Kalispell police officer recommended that Jones be charged with sexual assault, but prosecutors opted only to file misdemeanor assault charges in Youth Court, where Jones admitted wrongdoing and was given six months probation, ordered to undergo counseling and made to write letters to the victims, among other stipulations. He was kicked off the football team immediately after the incident and expelled from school for the remainder of that quarter."

He apologized to his victims in court when he was sentenced.

That can be true, and also be sad for him that his mother died so young. They aren't mutually exclusive.

I pity you and the other kids on those sports teams, then. I just had to eat some weird stuff, carry some things, bring snacks on the trip for my older guy. It's supposed to integrate younger people into the team, if you are holding your hand over their mouth while they try to yell for help, things went too far.

But yes, we know you will justify anything as long as they are wearing blue and gold.

Edit -- also, I eliminated a lot in what I wrote. There were other quotes referring to him "assaulting other players' genitals," I just wasn't trying to make things too detailed with gross stuff. You should research more before you call BS.

I played a sport other than football in college before transferring to UM. I cannot remember a single thing occurring that would even approach the Jones issue, or any of these issues. Maybe had to wash someone’s wedges once in a hotel bathtub because I shot the highest score. (I know how that can read, but it was literally cleaning the grooves of another man’s wedges). (I know how that can read, but I was cleaning golf clubs because I sucked that day). (Aw, shit, I can’t explain it).

Hazing is fucking stupid and anyone associated with it should be banished from the team.

You know the key part of harassment or assault is that pesky “unwanted” part right. Whether you slap someone’s ass, try and penetrate them with it without clothes, there is no fucking difference. It’s sexual assault. There is no levels to this thing such as oh this isn’t as bad as that.

I think the next edition of the DSM will need to have a new section for Bobcat fans, probably call it Bobcat Derangement Syndrome and side effects will be chronic drunkenness, altered and grandiose perception of reality, inflated ego, impotence, lack of physical boundaries, underdeveloped brain function, deep-seeded inadequacies, inbred bloodlines, a preference for a mullets/overalls/sheep/foam cowboy hats, and a constant need to fill up a litter box with cat piss yellow and a yearning to be viewed as something more than just a furry with an unhealthy cat fetish.

Well they did just release a revised DSM 5 (TR) version in 2022. I’m assuming there will be another iteration of this or some other manual in the future. As long as we require medical coding for insurance billing in this country there will need to be a diagnosis and a code to go with it. Our country isn’t getting any less crazy.
