I'm guessing by the end of spring ball he'll be upwards of 6'8" and around 3 bills. Oh, and be on the verge of being a 4 star.
 
Harris had exactly one D1 offer coming out of high school. His other offer- Colorado School of Mines. What a small world ;)

Do you have any idea how many 2&3 star players there are out there coming out of HS every year? In JUST Texas the number is something north of 1200. EVERY year. There are a good percentage of those that COULD play and excel at FCS football and aren’t even offered.

Well, they have to go to Missoula Summer Camp or it would be absolutely impossible to assess them.

I don’t know if there’s a good answer. Would be cool to establish some more connections where there’s more talent (speaking just raw numbers), though.

I think this may be the best idea I've seen on egriz. I believe Michigan did it a few ago in Florida.

That's pretty astounding, but I suppose it makes sense, since defense is a lot more reading and reacting, and so usually only the best athletes are going to be able to do that at the highest level, which is what 4-5 star players are.

What is negative about showing a screen-shot of his Rivals page? I had no intention of downplaying his ability by providing this info. I just thought posters who don't have access to Rivals might be interested in who had offered this kid out of high school. I know nothing about him, and hope he is All-Conference here.

Fun to revisit this! Nailed it and many fans have to realize just because you aren’t super successful or some star at these big FBS school doesn’t mean you won’t dominate FCS. Tons of examples to it. Harris has been playing lights out.
