Hawaii Offense or Georgia Defense?

Hawaii’s offense was boring, predictable and slow-developing. It lacked creativity. They needed Don Read as coach. June Jones had that “deer in the headlights” look. He was playing not to lose. He needs to learn to step on the throats of his opponents. He needs that killer instinct. The coaches should be fired.

So your sarcasm is noted...
It still leaves us with the nagging question on most Griz fans minds = what do the Griz do now?

Should all Griz fans just be happy with padding a coaches W/L stats vs and the status quo of lots of wins..just no tropy?

Wanting that elusive 3rd flag? It's a bad thing?

I'm really confused. (easy to do I know...since I've been informed by some good fans that I am a nice guy, just dumb)

Oh come on DWTF, you know as well as anyone people on this board have been humping Colt Brennan and June Jone's legs for 2 years on how awesome they were, yada yada yada. The game simply showed how far below FCS the WAC really is. Brennan had no chance, and GA did nothing but play a base defense. If they had used a full blitz package Colt would be in a hospital.

But, what happens if the Griz happen to lose that game? Does the athletic dept. hunker down and say, "See, we told you it wasn't a good idea to go out of Washington-Grizzly Stadium!!" That's my concern.

I share your concern. Playing tough teams on the road is what got us to where we are now. And it certainly paid big dividends for NDSU in the last few years. I hope UM administrators won't make all their scheduling decisions based on revenues generated by home games, or costs involved in traveling. There's got to be a balance.

I remember traveling to Moscow and watching Dave D., Damon Boddie and company take apart a very good Idaho team. There was nothing more exciting than watching the crowd file out of that very quiet stadium.

Too bad Idaho was the school that didn't want to play the Griz anymore. Maybe those consecutive losses had something to do with it.

F%$K them if they are too blind to see it! :twocents:

Hawaii would beat Georgia if they played this Saturday.

They are still a better team than Georgia.

i plead guilty. but i gotta ask, who sent the other three?

seriously, though, my impression was that june jones did virtually nothing, coaching-wise, to combat what georgia was doing during the game. i got bored and didn't watch the entire game, but would anyone other than me have run a bunch of (very briefly) delayed hand-off type of plays as the coach of hawaii? georgia was in the backfield so fast these probably would have resulted in a few decent gains. heck, i would've even put one or two of their wr's in the backfield, since they are so good in open space.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Fire RP Now crowd were ROFLing at all the shovel passes HI tried.

You'd think once would have been enough for them to get the idea.

GA-HI = UM-Ft Lewis

The Warriors were way in over their head's. I don't think JJ could have done anything different. :twocents:

June Jones talked about how big and fast GA was two weeks before the game. He sure didn't seem too excited about playing the Bulldogs. I think he knew what was coming.

Georgia is not that good, they played way over their head the other night against a very flat team.

Georgia isn't any bigger, faster than Hawaii. Hawaii just had a bad day simple as that. The only knock on Hawaii is that I never thought the OL would quit the way they did in the third qtr.

Quit acting like there is so much difference between the SEC and the WAC. SEC is overrated

Why are you so intent on proving you know absolutely nothing about FB? Not bigger and faster? Are you always drunk? Hawaii quit a lot sooner than the 3rd Qtr. There were Hawaii players yelling at their teammates in the 1st Qtr for "being scared". Defend them all you want because you have leg humped them all season, but they suck. Georgia could have beat them by 100 if they wanted to blitz them. They ate Hawaii's lunch with 3 down linemen, and you know it.

:jack:

Hawaii as a team is faster than Georgia. I bet if you average height and weight they are so close maybe the edge goes to Hawaii here as well.

They were overwhelmed and flat, that is it.

No one questions your :jack: ability, as much of it as you do. Every newspaper in the country, including Hawaii ackowledged the Warriors were out of their league. Keep on pretending though if it makes you feel better.
