If any of you Hauck lovers would open your eyes, you would realize that it was Bobby who initiated the change in culture of the Griz football program, and it took until now to finally all play out. Hauck knew the time bomb was ticking, which is why he was willing to take the worst job in FBS football just to be gone when the axe fell.

Nope, Hauck didn't initiate any change of culture, as you suggest. You don't know what you're talking about. Hauck was/is a tough disciplinarian. He didn't put up with any BS from players--or anyone else. If you're going to spout BS like this, let's hear you try to back it up.

Right. I guess all of the criminals he recruited should just be overlooked. Let's see. There was the curb-stomping he covered up, the 3 arrested as they left the team bus, the player who murdered another guy. But, he was a real tough disciplinarian. He took every other team's cast-off criminals. Face the facts.

Why don't you tell us how many total quarters of suspension these players got for their activities? Most coaches would have removed them from the team.

Hauck didn't recruit criminals. He didn't take cast off criminals. He gave the running back from Iowa St a chance, after getting good assurances on him from multiple coaches. The Iowa St rb was in good standing when he transferred to UM.

Hauck didn't cover up anything, and certainly not curb-stomping. You don't know what you're talking about. Yes, the burglary was bad news (but only 2 were on the bus, by the way). They never played another down for UM. No player murdered anyone. This player was acquitted on a 12-0 vote of the jury (and had previously almost been acquitted on a vote of 11-1 for acquittal), and later played for UM. Bringing up this one makes you look completely ridiculous.

All players charged with serious crimes never were kicked off the team and played again for UM, except for the player who was acquitted. Name one player who was convicted or plead guilty to anything more than a relatively minor misdemeanor, like disorderly conduct, or a dui, who ever pled another down for UM.

I knew you didn't know what you were talking about.

If hauck were coaching during our current shitstorm we would have similar results. He slowly degraded our program, if pflugrad could have stayed we would have probably been OK. I am just worried that we will get that jackass back. They are complaining about all the boneheaded calls hauck and staff are responsible for at UNLV this year. From what I am reading they think UNLV has good players but nobody to coach them.

You just have opinions. Do some research on what you claim, and report the whole story, not just your take on some isolated headline, or rumor. Your murderer, by the way, was acquitted. Nothing quite like that former Bobcat player executing one of his druggie associates. That went through the legal process as well, but with a different result. The difference is like comparing starting for the Dolphins to doing favors for your homeboys cigarettes. Face that fact.

When you make a new username you should at least try to not be so damn obvious.... welcome back

Who was the murderer by the way? Because I know you can't be referring to Wilson, as he was acquitted.

Pflugrad was the worst coach for discipline. He let go of the reins. Guilty or not, isn' t it his recruit that awaits trial for rape?

Right on. But do not tell the apologists on here. It is no wonder that Player Rep seems to be the most ridiculed poster on the board. I see why now.

Holy sh*t!

I had to run and grab some popcorn and another vodka/soda half way through this one!

You guys defending Hauck's record at UM need to realize something: Bobby was a sometimes-asshole, and that extended back to taking AG1s milk money.

This is good stuff and its ironic that the self-annointed head Griz fan is pushing traffic here for Chris under the guise of hating most Griz fans and their most successful coach.

Love it!

Its time to reappropriate the coffee guy

:coffee:

Not a Hauck fan. However he could coach my special teams if I was the head man. Beat our recent slop kind of play!

If he came back to Montana as a coach with his tail between his legs I think we would go crazy. Hope and pray he does not! $100 says he does not return as the head --------------------------Why are we talking about Hauck? Whoooo Cares?

Yeah, this thread has run its course. Loved Bobby at Montana, especially loved how mad and insane he made so many spoiled brat fans. Now that was funny to watch!! Don't really care one bit about UNLV though. Sounds like they are going to let him stay for the final year of his contract. He's not coming back either way.....

Then be sure to keep reading my posts....because he was on his way to turning this thing into an unstoppable force or unmovable object, pick one or the other. Fired for absolutely no reason, and the reasons are going to even get thinner from here on out...

Completely agree. I really liked Bobby as a coach. He is gone though and never to return - regardless of what is said on eGriz.

Nobody seriously thinks he is coming back, nor advocating so. It is simply the imaginations of us all and speculations over what could have been or might not have happened, depending on your point-of-view.

Yup, it would be like the English awaiting the return of King Arthur or Cub fans awaiting their team to win the Series.

Tough loss to Hawaii Saturday night. An article from the Las Vegas Sun Yesterday..... http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012/nov/24/rebels-sink-new-low-loss-hawaii/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The fans on Rebel-Net are completely crushed, but at least are keeping a sense of humor.....

The UNLV AD came out last week and said Hauck will get another year. It will be interesting to see if he lasts the next two weeks. :coffee:

Compared to what we have now, Pflu is a "Coaching God". That is just a fact!

 I thought the same thing. I was trying to figure out what era of college football they were talking about.
