Hauck

Cats and Griz Total Offense is almost identical.

Griz Total- 503.8 yards a Game
Cats Total- 499.3

Griz Passing- 238 a game
Cats Passing- 200 a game

Griz rushing- 265 a game
Cats rushing- 298 a game
I have got to watch most of the scats games and I think their offense is pretty good. I think Mellott is a better passer than he gets credit for as I have seen quite a few of his passes dropped that should have been caught. i think the spuds will be a good test to how good they really are. I won't be surprised either way on the outcome. I still think it will come down to the last game to decide the BSC champs.

Who have you guys played?
Nobody other than new Mexico. Same can be said for you guys though. WCU isn't good, and weber is a mid pack bsc team. Better than Idaho state, I'll give you, but it was at home. Ewu is a lower third team, and you were lucky to get out of there. You should win easily next week. We shouldn't win easily but I think we're going to. We're going to wind up playing a much harder bsc schedule than you guys so I guess by the end we'll know.

Nobody really.... Not saying we have. He also didn't note that we haven't played anyone, he just said your offense is way better.
Thought everyone around here was knowledgeable enough to make that inference. And the Griz offense is better. Not even close.

Am I the only person who didn't know that Phenecie is an assistant coach? I have vivid memories of him.

He is by far the smartest guy on the staff. He can run circles around Hauck and Pease.
Okay, can you explain that to me please? I am willing to admit that I might have been mistaken. It was a long time ago and so my opinion was maybe not so educated. I'm not trying to be snarky and I know that he is well liked among coaching staff. Thank you

I suppose you could just look at his credibility and success as an offensive coordinator along side of those two. Also he is a much more decent person than those two.

Okay. I have always been a little curious. I will do some digging. Thank you for your polite response.

IMO Bobby has been here long enough to not let this happen. He needed to be building a program from within that has its two deep ready to step in at any time. With his 3-3-5 defense bringing in transfers to replace seasoned veterans at critical spots on the field (down lineman, linebacker, and corners) is not going work. Especially early in the season. Players like Gubner, Flink, Janacaro, Harris, Hill, Cotton played together for a time and knew their responsibilities. They knew where each other would be. What we have now is a bunch of guys trying to figure things out with bad technique (tackleing). Wilson is giving it all he’s got but he doesn’t have much behind him. I’m almost ready to make things simple and go to 4-3 cover two type of defense but even then we may not have the depth needed to be successful . Again sometimes player development over time is your answer.

The 3-3-5 needs to be thrown out the window. We need to run a 4-4-3. We need more guys on the line to contain the edge. We have zero edge speed this year and it all starts at the line. Our immediate secondary needs some serious help since that is where we are getting burned.
