That said, I think Hauck would be a great coach again for us, and probably will have better results than Stitt has had, if only because he seems to possess a lot of what Stitt lacked as a head coach that cost him a lot of games.

But I'm just calling a spade a spade, and I expect the same people who wanted Stitt run out of town to be calling for Bobby's head if he can't get us back to the top of FCS.

I'm honestly amazed at how many Griz fans "hate" Bobby... they make him out to be the worst human being ever. Bobby's actually a pretty good guy.

If it's Hauck, he also will most likely bring in JC transfers and drop downs. Stitt was not fond of that to some extent.

He must because the talent is not there now.

Anyone but Bobby

bhumble you dont BS around and usually have an opinion. Who do you like for next head coach of the reasonably available candidates?

You gotta remember when the masses are bitch’n everything is good. If the fans are having to make excuses for the coach...things might not be so good.

Define Irony:

Bobcats 27 Grizzlies 20 (loss)
Grizzlies 38 Bobcats 22 (win)
Bobcats 16 Grizzlies 6 (loss)

Those were the scores for the first 3 years of Grizzly Coach. He went 1-2. He is now considered a Legend because of boosters, and overzealous fans that are quick to past judgement, but have short memories.

That coach? Bobby Hauck

Yet some of the haters of the former coach, are tripping over themselves with glee about a coach that had the same record the first 3 times out, against the Cats.

Define Irony....I just did.
Taking the team to the NC game in the second year trumps losing to two very good MSU teams populated with Kramer's unrestricted recruits. And a guy named Lulay, who had beaten Glenn's last team. Stitt should have thought of that rather than losing 4 of his last 5 games in year two.

You just keep pulling at straws.

And you keep hating to fit your agenda. You must live a sad life. I would be depressed as hell hanging out with you. lol

The FACT is Bobby was 1-2 in his first 3 years against the Bobcats. You can spin it anyway you like, but there are dozens on here stating the reason for the change was because of the results of the Bobcat game, even you have mentioned at least 9-10 times.

Might want to change your signature. Might confused the Cat and Eagle trolls when Hauck assumes the lead.

Maybe its just the name Bob, they seem to hate Bobs. I blame Bob Newhart, "Hi Bob"

I just want to point out that the three biggest themes on eGriz while Hauck was coach:
1. Can’t win the big one;
2. Bend but don’t break defense;
3. Phen-phen offense.

My view is:

1. Getting to the big one 3 of 7 years was great.
2. Bend but not break is a good defensive strategy and more and more teams use it now.
3. Phen was a good OC, and he did fairly well at ISU this year, but he won't be coming to UM.

I don’t disagree, but it’s interesting to reflect on the past on eGriz. Time sort of washes out the blemishes

Yes, losing to Montana A&M or whatever they are called cost Stitt his job.....but not just because he lost to them. It cost him his job because 2 years in a row he lost to the Cats when a win would have put us in the playoffs and the loss kept us home. He was ultimately fired for missing the playoffs 2 years in a row for the first time since like 91-92 or something close to that. Th Cat game just happened to be the one that would either put us in or send us home. And he lost. So we went home and he went packing. It wasn't just that he lost the rivalry game 2 years in a row.....it was also all of the post season implications those game carri d with them.....

Get'em, do you know Kyle? If so can you ask him if he has seen Coach Kane in the athletic department today? If so can he tweet that out. Twitter could be a powerful weapon in the battle to get Kane hired. If he hasnt seen him then maybe its best to just lay low and dont tweet about it. Dont want to decrease morale in Kane Kamp. Thanks in advance!

Bobby’s records aside..

I can see why the fans can be so divided...

With that being said, I like Bobby because of the attitude (DOLA) that rubbed off on the players.

I didn’t see that with Stitt, especially in big games (MSU) the last two years. Also Stitt’s propensity for accepting blame but not actually fixing it—attitude, special teams, and expectations/executing plays

There is a big difference between 1-1-1 and making the playoffs all 3 of those years and 1-2 and not making the playoffs in those last two years, in large part because of those 2 losses.
