I don't think BH should come back. I don't know where "the word" is coming from that he wants back. His teams at UNLV lost to two BSC teams, SUU & NAU, and beat UNC by only one point, 13-12, which to me questions whether he can win in the BSC, regardless of talent. And, the BSC is not now what it was when he left.

Tell me, Why would BH even want to step this far down for what reasons. He is doing just fine. Why would he want to take the abuse from the alumni, business community, hotel people, students, the Missoulian and especially the Kaimin, and a bevy of outside interruptions just because they don't like the way he ran his program. You know BH, the 2nd most winning coach in U of M football history!!
SDSU defense looked good. Even with undersized D-linemen the defense had good alignment and angles against the option. Looks like West Virginia type of defense. With the amount of teams using option based offenses the program (WV) who ran the Veer and many forms of option would be good defense to copy.
Looks like it held up good against the passing QB well also.
SDSU season defensive stats look good. Would have players on our current roster to run this Defense not many defensive lineman needed, more DE and LB bodies required.
Getting most out of current roster would bode well with new coach.

Just so we’re on the same page, this isn’t the BSC & FCS of Hauck’s youth. 13 teams now, 8 when he was last here.
A whole bunch of these teams have professional coaching staffs & reasonably good players on their sidelines. Not saying he won’t do well, but if he does, it might be his best coaching job, ever.

OK, as TCC says, "It's a done deal." All I'll say is don't expect BH to have the Griz in the playoffs, let alone the NC, his 1st season. This isn't 10 or so yrs. ago in the BSC, esp. when BH won't have the latitude to bring in the goons he did who caused all the Msln headlines. I think he was hampered by the UNLV AD, who I think laid down the law to him re: recruiting borderline criminals, based on his MT practices.
Bobby is a good, maybe the best coach UM has ever had. That aside, even if he's the next HC, don't expect the times of "back when."
