just checked out scout.com. of 129 schools rated for their 2015 recruiting class, bobby ranks 125, with one 2-star recruit. that's it. the last four schools--inlcuding poor ole idaho-- have zero recruits. and while i have no statistical proof of this, i do know that on the many occasions over the past five years when i've checked on his classes, they have been woefully bad, always near the bottom. in fact, i think his wife got credit for finding one of his better recruits, a quarterback.
now if i were bobby's agent, and he'd recruited the class that our staff has recruited to montana, i bet i could go to the a.d. down there and save his job. we have eleven recruits plus a good transfer, and that includes several two-star and a couple of three-star players. a lot of these are trench linemen, where you build a program. if scout.com included pony league teams in their rankings, i bet we'd rank surprisingly high with our class.
so, when it comes to recruiting, let's take a hard look at what this staff is actually doing, versus bobby's reputation.
