This will probably get blocked by Griz moderators - but.....showed another level of lack of class by an individual who can’t give the Cats any credit.

Hauck got out coached again today, he gave no credit to the Cats, coach Choate, and the fan base in the stadium. His insinuation that all we care about is this game is ridiculous- yes we want to beat our rival, but the Cat program has bigger goals - just like UM - and we showed that today.

Hauck was condescending all week - and continued that in today’s embarrassing loss. Classless individual - doesn’t portray a good image for Griz Nation

No, you're wrong. He said 'they beat us in all 3 aspects of the game today' and they were better.

I thought he was pretty contrite actually, and also showed a bit of humor. I just don't buy the "we game-planned for Troy all week and that's why we lost" bit, he said last Monday all you have to do is tackle the guy with the ball, and if that's #15, so be it. Make up your mind Bobby! :)

Not sure why, but #22 was AGAIN very difficult to tackle. Sure wish that guy was a Griz.
I wish he would get healthy :)

Yeah but we were far better than the cats for 95% of the season. We don’t play just for cat griz. They do.We had a great season playing the second toughest record in the country. Beat two conference champions and are seeded in the playoffs. 3 weeks ago the cats playoff chances were in doubt. They needed two games against bottom dwellers to end the season and get back on track.

Not exactly sure why you’re saying this now. Griz fans have been beating their chest for years about the overall record. But now that they’ve lost 4 straight the narrative is “that’s all the Cats play for, the Griz play for more than that”. Just repeating what Hauck said in the presser.
The Griz were not only playing for the obvious state bragging rights, but a co-conference championship and a top 4 seed. They had everything to play for and got worked. The Cats were also playing for a seed, if they lost they certainly wouldn’t have been seeded, so again there was a lot on the line beyond just bragging rights. Apparently this could be a new coping mechanism...

And your comment on the Griz being far better for 95% of the season, not sure exactly where that comes from, and is obviously very subjective.
Was the Griz schedule harder? Yes, no argument. Was it a night and day difference? No, I don’t think it was THAT much harder.

They both got worked by a power 5 school. Yes Oregon is better than Texas Tech, but does that really matter? Neither team stood a chance in those games.

They both got beat handily by Sac St in consecutive weeks, with the Cat game being a closer score if we’re splitting hairs here.

The Cats loss to UND was bad, the worst they played all year, but UND was still a playoff team in the end, so was it really that bad?

So one more loss for the Cats, to a playoff team, qualifies the Griz as “far” better for 95% of the season?

Wasn’t it settled pretty definitively this weekend which team is better this year?

I say that because half way through the season there were doubts the cats would even make the playoffs. Look at your own board. He griz we’re pretty dominant all year save the Sac game and the Brawl. Cats had to feast on bottom dwellers to get back in the playoff hunt. That’s why I say the Griz body of work this year was better

Also no I don’t think last week proved which team is overall better. It’s football some weeks you get your ass kicked. It wasn’t at all indicative of how good this griz team is. Play that game 10 times and they probably split.
Bro. You are crazy level delusional. Cats would smoke the griz every one of those 10 games. The Cats are the better team. Why? Our offensive and defensive lines are SIGNIFICANTLY better, not close, period. The end. Griz have made improvements yes, and are a damn good team. But to say the griz are better and would split a 10 game same size is laughably absurd.

Uh, I do. Not saying Griz are bad at all, and rooting for them in the playoffs. Watch the game again. I did last night and focused on the line play. Griz need more horses is all, give it a year or two and we'll revisit, but for today you're a masochist if you want to play the Cats again this year.

The Griz had the horses the prior week against Weber. Don’t know where the horses went in the Cat game. Weber would beat the Cats, in my view. Heck, Weber may beat the Griz in a couple weeks.

I’ve been around or watched Griz-Cat games for 60 years. The beating the Griz took this year from the Cats was the worst in all of those years. In fact, I don’t recall the Griz ever taking such a beating, even against competition in the old Skyline Conference. Do I think the Griz can beat the Cats if they play again this year? Not a chance. Few on this board dislike the Cats like I do and of all the games the Griz play every year, the Cat game is of primary importance to me. I think, however, the Cats are going to be a difficult out in the playoffs.

Apparently how to beat the cats falls into the forgotten column

Hauck is a good coach, but for the second year in a row the UM staff has been out coached by the Cats’ program. Not to mention, I highly doubt there would be this much support for Stitt if he had lost to the cats by a 30+ point margin.

Pretty sure Hauck wasn't outcoached last year. Eastwood fumbled. Not Hauck. Griz absolutely outcoached MSU last year.

How do you figure?

Evidently blowing a 22-0 lead is top shelf coaching.

I don't, but I didn't play the game. Could you tell us why you think the griz would beat the Cats?

Because the Griz are the better team, and had a better season. The Cats just rose up and played a great game, when the Griz played poorly. That happens sometime. As I said, Weber would beaten the Cats. One great game doesn't make a season, just like one great game for the Griz against Weber, and a very good game against Davis early in the season, didn't make their season.

I think it's funny that you guys think one great game by the Cats means the Cats are world beaters.

Why do you think Weber is seeded higher. Note that the Griz stuffed them 10 days ago.

Why do you think the Cats, after stuffing the Griz, are only 1 seed higher than the Griz.

Answer: it's because the selection committee is not biased like you, and knows a lot more about football than you.

The selection committee obviously felt the um win over WSU was a fluke, :thumb: if you watch that game objectively you will know that it was.

um was overrated after the WSU win, the MVC schools (Ill. St & SDSU) losing the last week saved um from playing this Saturday.

We are about to see how good both teams are as they head into the post season. At this point both have a shot at making the semi finals. The Cats don’t have a prayer against NDSU. Neither do the Griz given what I have watched all year. Pipe down 2506. The Cats have not made a deep playoff run in years. You don’t have QB who can take over a game. At some point that is going to be required in the playoffs. Cats could be hurt by a soft schedule. Cat fans have the floor until the Griz beat them again. Good for you. Personally, I am far more concerned about how far the Griz can go in the playoffs. Helps recruiting, which appears to be going well. One game does not make a season.

I'm not new to this game. While I am very happy with the draw we have, you wont see me predicting a National Championship. We have to take care of business and I think we have a better than 50/50 shot of getting into the semifinals. I also think that is about the same odds um has. Nova can be tough, they have looked very good and have lost a couple that they should have won. A healthy Weber in Ogden will be a differnt beast for um to deal with, its difficult to beat a good team twice in one year.

I am very glad that our draw does not include a rematch with um.

Colorado State beat us 55-7 in 1959. And they fired that damn Cannon for each TD and Extra Point. In the second half they stopped firing for the Extra Point. By the end of the third quarter we run em out of Ammo..Go Griz, Shell shocked to this day...

The committee seems to have seen the recent Cat game as a fluke. So seeded the teams next to each other but gave you a chance to go to NDSU to get your butts kicked again. You are welcome to that seed.
