Jordan was named Big Sky Conference player of the week for the past week.

Way to go Jordan. Keep doing what you did last week, just may help relieve Strait from some double teams.

Jordan earned that award and is really starting to play like the Jordan we saw in the NCAA's last season. Good for him. I can't believe some of the people on here who suggested he be benched.

 :thumb: I could not agee more backer. Patience is paying off in the case of Hasquet. Also goes to show how beneficial a redshirt year can be? I hope Hasquet's success helps sell redshirting to future recruits. Too bad, it did not help in convincing Vanderjagt.

I couldn't agree more. These sentiments only reinforce my belief that the experts (Ballhog, MslaCannucksFan, etc) that were on here earlier this year calling for Jordan's benching don't have A CLUE about this team (or basketball in general for that matter). It would be much easier to argue that he's the KEY to this team rather than not belonging on the floor. He still seems to be somewhat of a secret to a couple of his teammates - I would like to see what happened if some actual offense was ever structured around him. :twocents:

Visiting teams definitely notice that he is probably the most versatile and dangerous player the griz have. anyone sitting close at the PSU and EWU game had to hear them constantly trying to get the right matchup on jordo.

If they are going to keep doubling Strait they better get used to Hasquet making them pay. His ocnfidence is growing each game and that is a key to his success. He has always played hard.

Exactly. In the EWU game it seemed like hasquet was making all the big shots. When we needed some points it hasquet would say "fu*k it, i'm scoring" then he'd make some ugly/powerful drive to the basket, toss it up with one hand and it'd fall.
