You realize that this doesn't prove your point.

I can guarantee I know very little about football when compared to other posters. This much I do know. A gauge of a programs success can be based on a teams fan board. Let’s take a look at Egriz. Numerous Cat posters are on Egriz throughout the year. They show up in droves when something good happens with their team. Now let’s look at Bobcat Nation. I don’t post there and rarely go to that site. If I do, it is to look at something specific like recruiting activity. Based on the activity of both sites and the number of posters from the opposing team, the Griz own MSU fans. How? They are living rent free in their heads. MSU just won the rivalry game, has home field advantage and their fans are spending time posting on Egriz. So very little brother. When the Griz win, I don’t run to BN to pound my chest like something amazing happened. To beat the Cats is expected. Griz have competition now and have to bring their A game to the Brawl. Pendulums swing. I won’t be on BN posting when it does again. A good chance it could swing in the three Saturday’s. Then Cat fans will be making excuses on Egriz. It’s only sensible. They practically live on this site.
Hi. I feel like I can add something to this, as I am, a Cat fan over here on eGriz.

While I will participate in a little smack talk, that's not the main reason. Main reason? It's entertaining. Having the same old stale conversation with the same old people time after time is boring. At least for me, and I know this isn't the case for everybody, but none of it is for validation. I honestly do not care what the posters here think of the Cats. I just like discussion, I like to talk a little smack, and I like to talk football. I have no issues with Griz fans tbh. I talk crap with Brint and Andrew all the time on the good ol twitter, and while not friends, we're friendly. I've never understood the idea that going civilly to the other teams board is a huge aggression, and sign of "little brotherness", and as a Bobcat I should be an expert in "little brotherness", but perhaps others are more sensitive than me. So, I'll probably post here to aggravate Hoops and have some good football talk otherwise, but it's really just about entertainment factor for me.

My point is Western Colorado must be doing an excellent job at recruiting and UNC a terrible job at evaluating talent if Central who just lost to a team with very few D1 offered players would finish higher than UNC in the Big Sky standings.

If you are a good team its not hard to beat the same team twice. When you are less than good, it might pose a problem. That is such a stupid cliche, maybe the worst one ever

Beating a team twice happens all the time, It happened to the Lions this season. It happens in all sports often
Agreed. I tried saying this last week as well. Happens all of the time and statistically it happens MORE than it doesn't.

This isn't to suggest that UM has no chance if they make it to Bozeman. We'll be bigger favorites than we were in Missoula and I would expect the Cats to win. But it's sports and nothing would shock me. But the whole "it's hard to beat the same team twice" is just some dumb saying someone came up with after losing once. :ROFLMAO:

Easy. You guys were really good for a long time. And your fans at that time were awful. Most arrogant fanbase I’ve seen.

Now a majority of you seems lost in those olden days. Nostalgic! But you have the same arrogant fanbase without any of the success you had 25 years ago. You’re very easy to dislike because you’re like Cowboys fans.

And this is with all due respect. I like this board and many of the posters. This is just generally speaking just as all of you generally speak about the Bobcats.

As far as a disrespected 3 seed. It’s just because you’ve played no one this year. You played a weak schedule with like 65% of the games at home and it was easy to see you’d be undefeated or maybe 1 loss going into playoffs.

Good news is you can shut everyone up by winning. Win a couple games at home and beat the Cats in Bozeman like so many of you assume you’ll do; and this is all moot.

Personally I think you’re a good team. I feel like Cats should have beaten you by more but that’s ok; you think you should have won. All reasonable and nothing that can be proved either way.

Win Saturday. Win the following week. I expect you to at home. Win on the 20th in Bozeman and I’ll literally tip my cap to you.

FIFY Bobcat
Easy. You guys were really shitty for a long time. And your fans at that time were awful. (and still are) Most arrogant fanbase I’ve seen.

Ironic that you say that because as an 80's high school kid, I remember the arrogance of cat fans between their 1976 and 1984 national championship teams. This arrogant pendulum swings both ways.
I have no doubt this is true. But I was way too young to experience that. I was the "perfect" age to experience the streak and all that came with it. It was brutal to say the least. So now I think it's many of those fans that are taking it too far these days when the Cats are having some success against the griz. And if it continues for a while there will be another entire generation of young griz fans that will hate the Cats with every fiber of their being and when the pendulum swings back in the griz favor they'll bask in every second of it.
