That fan base has been declining for 5+ years. Very strange.

It was a stretch to think anyone but a real diehard fan would show up for a game against a nondescript 3-7 EWU team on Labor Day weekend. They hunt in North Dakota as well. I also think their fanbase is suffering from restlessness. Half of them want to go big ticket, the others do not. Sound familiar? They would have doubled that number had they been playing Minnesota instead, and the rest of the dome wouldn't look like a Red Cross drill scene. Neutral site games for FCS teams, unless it's the title game, are a waste of energy and money.

As I've recently joined the Sunday Morning Armchair Quarterback Club never to again act like a total ass on the sideline, I'll take more than a few reflective moments looking at the many preseason predictions, especially given the present state of college football and realignment. Fascinating turn of events in all of college football this past season.
