Guy in Griz hat caught home run ball...

On your 90th, how about spending a little time facing home plate after the catch so the world (or at least Griz Nation) can better see the Griz logo.

No shit. And how about a Griz sweatshirt thrown in for good measure.

Three things:

1) move the glasses. They're blocking the logo.
2) Wear a Griz shirt. REALLY show you're a fan, dammit.
3) Nurture that girl's arm. She's a lefty...   :thumb:

I have caught 14 milestone homers where the team or player wanted the ball back. Roberto Alomar's 200th career home run, Alfonso Soriano's home run that broke the Expos/Nationals home run record, Ty Wigginton's 1000th career hit, Sammy Sosa's 299th career home run(not a milestone), Dante Bichette's last career grand slam, Greg Norton's first career grand slam, Larry Walker's home run that broke the team record for most extra base hits, and there's more. In 2000 I caught back to back home runs by Mike Lansing & Jeff Cirillo, and received a letter from Bud Selig congratulating me on the feat. In 07' the "fluke" was a blast, especially the play in game with the Padres, and sweeping the Phillies and Dbacks in the playoffs. I was at the game with Lincecum since I only missed 3 games last year.

You've got a great wife if she lets you go to all those games! :thumb:

Some of the bigger names I have caught are, Sammy Sosa, Roberto Alomar, Every one of the Blake Street Bombers, Prince Fielder, justin Upton, Cuddyer, 5 of Helton's home runs, Dustin Pedroia's 3rd home run on the only night he's ever hit 3 home runs in one game, Carlos Gonzalez, and my favorite of all time is Vlad Guerrero back in 99'.

Yes I do, she's originally from Shelby and met her at UM and goes to several games with us throughout the year, also.

Awesome! I am glad true fans were there to witness it! You guys have a ferocious middle of a batting order, but good lord can you pitch? I was at the aforementioned Lincecum game, and am jealous because I would love to have season tickets. My wife and I lived in Northern California for four years, and I jumped right on the old Giants bandwagon. Coors is beautiful (especially the second deck with it's own concessions!), but AT&T is my favorite. We are in Albuquerque now which makes Denver/Phoenix the closest game in town.

Congrats on ball 89! What's been your longest slump?

I was in Denver for almost a decade. I went to many games. Sat all over the outfield.seats, and never even with an arms reach of a ball. I guess i know to attend games with you. Damn ball hog. Lol

I haven't been to a Rockies game since there first year in 1993 and they were in Mile High then. Haven't been to Coors field yet. Hoping to make it for the Rockies/Dodgers July 5th. I might have to get my tickets in left field and hope you miss one.

I love the Rockies...growing up and watching the Blake Street Bombers made me a happy kid. I loved Dante Bichette!

HA! This is one of the coolest posts I've seen on here in quite a while. I thought you were joking at first denvergriz. Good Stuff!

I caught #92 today, but my Griz hat was still wet from a downpour yesterday, so wasn't wearing it. :( Dozier 3 run homer in top of 9th.
