Really, is that all you have, I don't dislike coach Stitt, I'm a long time Griz fan, longer that you are old, however, I don't live in a reality distortion field, here are the facts, if you are content with 6-5 and being humiliated by the Cats at home, you must be a School of Mines fan, and still supporting coach Stitts mediocrity.... being critical of someone does not mean disliking them, it means that they may be in over their head, then again its just and opinion.

Can we assume that you surmise a different hire would only have done better and not worse than 6-5?

Oh you mean he is speculating.

However it is a point well taken. Another coach would have inherited the same team, and the same talent. Thus it may be logical to speculate that any coach could've done the same, or worse with the cards they were dealt.

However, we will never know - unless we invent a machine that can take us to alternate realities.....or should I say speculative ones.

I would surmise, given due and extreme vetting by the interview team, and without hand wringing or trying to make up for past indiscretions, that the answer would be yes.
