It would seem to be easy, but are they that much better to make That big of a difference now and loose them in the future? You're right "If he chooses NOT to put the best players on the field right now in order to produce a "better product" in the future....he might not be there to see it." should he be forced into that decision "Whats better for him" or "whats better for the program" because of an off field decision by a player 200 miles away? I'm just saying I HOPE haslam takes that pressure off him for everyone's good
Any pressure on Stitt is owned by Stitt. His team - his locker room - his schemes - his assistant coaches...
Stitt can take the pressure off of himself by leading his team to wins. Putting the best players on the field is a big part of that equation.
We probably will disagree - but I personally have very little patience for those who will begin to make excuses about losing the starting safety....and QB. These things should NOT influence how the Admin looks at Stitt following this season.
I guess Bubba is f***[*] in North Dakota then...
Do you know his status? Is ND your benchmark? Perhaps Idaho....
My guess is Schweigert gets some grace given his third season went as follows:
ND finished last season 9–3, 8–0 in Big Sky play and a (shared conference championship), and made the playoff field - losing in round 2.
Hopefully, Stitt can do something similar in his third year...
