GUESS THE ATTENDANCE: Playoff addition

Snuck a peek at the seating map. No area sold out, except the student section. 18900 for the Griz 18000 for the Cats. With hunting season over there should be good crowds .. so I am hoping for better numbers

Lots of green.

All I can say is I hope there are a lot of non season ticket holders who want to go to this game.

Go Griz!

GRIZ 20888
I am hoping for over 20,000.

CATS 88
That includes the security guards. Play off’s? What’s that? They won their Super Bowl.

Based on looking at griztix, there's a lot of unpurchased seats.

If general public buys up seats: 19k
if not: 15-17k

Do the students have to pay $35 for their tickets?

One of my student assistants said her playoff ticket was "5 bucks" when she picked it up this week. (She thought regular student tickets were $15, so she was happy.) That being said, I think the students will show. Lots of energy to let out before Finals start on Monday.

With this information, my guess is:
Grizzlies 17536
Kitties 12256

Seeing lots of folks predicting a sell out at Bobcat Stadium as that stadium holds a little over 18 K. Last year they only had 10,000 at their home playoff game I think they’ll do better than that this year with better weather so I’m guessing maybe around 14 for them and 19 for us

Hate to say this but among other factors the cat beat down is affecting attendance. Say what you want but the Griz/cat game influences a lot of people and right now cat fans are riding high and Griz fans seem in a daze. We’ll be lucky to put 17,000 in the stadium. Hopefully Missoula residents step up...

Go Griz!

I haven't seen many predictions yet but there is no way we sell our game out. It would take nothing less than a miracle these next couple days. If we can get in the ballpark of 15,000 I will be happy, though would obviously like to see more than that.

Yes agree. I saw some people here posting that Bobcat Stadium would have 17 or 18 K so I was mostly referring to that. My guess is we both get close to 75% of our stadiums full which put you guys at like 14,000 and us around 18,750

Yep. Anything more and I'll be happy.

Though, as has been mentioned a bunch, come playoff time I don't even worry about attendance numbers. I want as many students there as possible. And I want as many fans who WANT to be at the game, being loud as hell, to be at that game. For us if that means 12,000 people but it's loud and energetic I'm fine with that.

In a perfect world we'd have that, and another 5,000 just for good measure! ;)

Yes and it is probably both our experience that the 12 or 13 K in cat stadium and the 17 or 18 Kay in Griz Stadium are usually just as loud as a full one come playoff time, as it’s the fans who want to be there rooting for their team screaming their heads off

I'm going to need a TI-82 calculator to figure this number out.

I only remember how to play snakes with it though, so it might take awhile.

I'm still bitter we lost to the cats and my score prediction was 36 to 10. It was a good pick. I'm staying with it.

I saw a tweet tonight that somebody is following the Cats lead and is buying the student tickets and will reimburse those students who already purchased them. Students, therefore, will get in free.

I mean, have you seen how ridiculous it is just to look at available tickets on the online site??

They dont help themselves at all. This year was the first year you didnt have to physically mail in a poster order form...so Im not expecting much from that department.

My HP-33C called the ticket office, found out how many seats remained, looked at ticket sales trends, checked with the nearest airport to SLU and Vegas oddsmakers, and e-mailed me the winning attendance number. Not bad for $249 on eBay!

The HP-33C is one damn good electric abacus.
