Sorry if this has already been discussed, but it sounds like the players are receiving a one game suspension. Strong got a two game suspension.

I realize scenario's aren't the same, but Strong has not been charged with anything yet. As far as suspensions go, you have two drunken arrests with different levels of punishment from the different schools.

Am I understanding that UM's student code of conduct is more strict that EWU's?

Yes. UM would suspend a player for two games minimum for this infraction. Although if you read the other teams’ sites (cough, cough, ewoooo, kitties, cough, cough) they’ll have you believe UM suspends players for one quarter for homicide.

And to take that one step further, Stitt is actually making these kids who are suspended earn their spot back instead of them just getting to start again. I think that says a lot as well
