Lots of the local Griz recruits earned all state awards:

AA:

Braydon Deming (first team TE and LB)
Mitch Roberts (second team QB)
Bryson Deming (second team QB)

A:

Tanner Wilson (first team QB, also NW A offensive player of the year)

Matthew Rensvold (first team WR, and NW A defensive player of the year at LB

Trevor Hoerner - first team LB

Michael McGinnis - first team safety

B:

McKenzie Holt (all state)

Looks like a good group of MT kids with some more on the way.

For what it is worth..........not a great report fir Griz recruits as a whole. AA All-state is really not very impressive if not first team........this year there were only 13 teams playing......assuming each team has one starting QB, 8 of them got some form of All State....only 5 didn't. 2nd team QB means top 6 of 13. I also don't think you would want to look at Cat recruit placings.

Well Deming isn't being recruited to play QB so where he landed on the All-State list as a QB really doesn't mean s--t as far as what the Griz want him to be as a player. Neither is Mitch Roberts being recruited as QB. Hell, Roberts only played QB at Sentinel because he was by far their best option. Neither kid is coming to MT to play QB, and if you're questioning the athleticism of either kid, you haven't seen them in real life. They are both absolute studs athletically.

Well aware of their recruits. They have these 4:

Keaton Anderson (AA first team all state)
Troy Anderson (A first team all state)
Jaxen Hashley (AA first team all state)
Tadan Gilman (AA first team all state)

Also some great recruits. Doesn't take away from the great seasons and talent the Griz have coming in.

How does Hellgate not fielding a football team affect the talent on any of the 13 remaining football teams this year? They haven't been competitive for a very long time.

Class AA All-State
First team
QB – Tadan Gilman, sr, Glacier; Nate Dick, sr, Senior

Second team
QB – Mitch Roberts, sr, Sentinel; Bryson Deming, sr, West; Callahan O'Reilly, sr, Bozeman; Levi Janacaro, jr, Big Sky

8 QBs got some form of all-state? I see six, am I missing something?

yes, 2 more get honorable mention....Kid from Flathead and kid ftom Great Falls. So CMR, Butte, Helena High , Capital , Skyview didn't get anything. So more than 1/2 of starters did. Easier to list starters that don't and that's says it all

Quarterback: Bridger Johnson, Sr., Flathead; Kevin Boes, Jr., Great Falls

Ah - missed those two. Looks like some articles only list the 1st and 2nd team and leave out the HM's

Thanks

Edit - forgot to add McKenzie Holt all state RB in class B. He had big numbers averaging 11.2 ypc and rushing for over 1300 yards. Kid is 6'5 and 235 lbs and runs a 11.2 100 meter. That's crazy.

So according to your thinking, Vim must be related to the 100 recruits he reports on. Impressive. :thumb:
