GrizWBB vs CSU

3rd qrt. CSU is making LG look like they have no clue how to play defense. Frustrating given how Holsinger talks about his defensive chops all the time. CSU nailing so many uncontested 3's.

How many times do you let the same person huck up threes instead of forcing them to beat you other ways? Game is essentially over halfway through the third.

Hopefully Holsinger and staff can use this game to teach "move your feet" defense. Granted, Hofschild is a really good/smart player, and way faster than anyone we have, but we need to get so much better on defense or Northern Arizona and E Wash are going to easily beat us in conference.

LG despite a very poor shooting night only lose by nine.
But Hofschild for the Rams single handed dismantled the LG.
Gotta play some better defense.

Yes 36 pts, 8 assists Hofschild pretty much loaded up the CSU offense, but CSU tough, solid ,tall good BB both sides of the court. Not looking at the stats, we just didn't get the ball to drop either. Overall, some good LG ball, good potential. Hope Gina is not injured too bad!

Gina will be back. Looked like a foot injury. Looked like the trainers were massaging her arch area of her foot.

Both halves, the Lady Griz started out shooting poorly while not playing defense. It basically is the first 5 minutes of each half. After that, the Lady Griz competed pretty well with them. Looks like Holsinger had the wrong starting lineup for this game.

I spoke briefly with Gina after the game. She brushed her injury off. Hinted that it was an ankle/foot issue she's dealt with previously.
Maggie and MJ both said they love it at Montana...
The general feeling among the other players i spoke to is that they know they have to shoot better, especially from the perimeter, and they're confident their shooting will improve as they get more comfortable playing together (two transfers and a frosh played a lot of minutes tonight).

I noticed missed layups too, if we are going for fastbreaks and fast cuts to the basket...we've got to finish those!
