Could we have any dumber statement than this one?

He's really gotten a lot tougher down low since the middle of the season. There was at least one game I recall where he was getting pushed around and he was just taking it. That hasn't happened much lately.
Sad to say, but Jammar had a bad night in last nights SoCal semis...he had more than a few turnovers, as did the whole Westchester Hi team and they were knocked out, easily, and surprisingly, by Long Beach Poly...but, this kid will only increase his skills to make sure it won't happen again...Montana struck gold with him.....mtgrizrule said:In lieu of djollie doubting the GRIZ after this year, I had to get this thread going again. I did not think it was putting this in the Weber State/PSU game thread you commented in. So here are my thoughts to your post there.
(1) As for Cherry, there are different kind of PG's. Cherry is not a perimeter scoring threat. HIs game is balls to the wall defense, off and on the ball. As a FR he was the best defensive guard in the league, behind Bonner. Offensively he is a penetrating, slashing point guard, makes tough shots in the paint, creates for teammates, or draw fouls. He can and will only get better. He will mature and improve. He is already a true PG and leader.
(2) I agree it will be hard to replace AJ's scoring. My guess is the GRIZ will be very inconsistent offensively the 1st few months of next season. We will have to rely more on inside scoring. What you do not know though is evolution of Selvig's complete game. The last month he has actually shown to be more than a big perimeter player, and actually has some real nice post moves. Imagine how good he will be when he is playing at 100% all the time.
(3) Staudacher's shooting will be taken over by Young and Taylor. Both of which are better ballhandler's than Staudacher, but not as pure shooter's as Stauds. Staudacher is one of few players I could watch shoot jumpers all day. His shooting needs to be on video for young kids to learn how to shoot right.
(4) Do you realize how much potential we have in next years Freshman and Sophomores? Hutchison, Cherry, Ward, Jammar, Autry, and Reader will be huge contributors by years end next year. This talent has a much higher ceiling collectively than recent GRIZ teams.
