Great stuff. At the GSA tailgate in Butte Stitt told a few of us about the first one they did. He was really excited about it because he felt it would dramatically ramp up fall camp expectations, advancement, and continuity.

Also, Nicholson as our S&T coach is a tremendous asset.

Geez I'm getting jacked for the season! Takes me back to college workouts with the team; the excitement, the optimism, the confidence! I'm happy for these young men and what they are going through - something they will remember the rest of their lives and most will never understand or experience. Let's get this thing started!

GO GRIZ!

Because Cal Poly plays a week zero game August 26th against Colgate and the NCAA now allows one extra week since they banned two a days, Cal Poly reported last Tuesday and had their first practice on Wednesday July 26th.

Must suck beginning practice on game day. :) Although obviously it should read July 26th.

Cut Slo a break. He's a great poster; he comes on here and talks football and doesn't smack. I wish there were a few other fanbases in this league who had similar posters.

Well, hell, actually I just wish there were a few other fanbases in this league....

UNDSU is already practicing as of a couple of days ago. They don't start until the same Saturday as the Griz. If everyone gets the same number & type of practices, they must be taking time off during. Interesting strategy.

Coach Walsh had Cal Poly report as early as the NCAA would allow, but said they would not use all allotted practices so he could give players days off as they go to try and keep the team healthy.

Makes a world of sense, particularly when you're just rotating in new starters & redshirts for coaching & reps.

Not to mention he treats you like a king when you go to Cal Poly for a game. SLO is in my top 5 all time posters.
